Whenever you decidede to, it's always a time. This is decent price, if you are paying in $. Read reviews, see vids, make up your mind.

If you are asking, if there was or will be a better price or better offer. There for sure will be but it's not now. :p

(If you are paying in € then it's not so decent and you may perhaps get a better offer..)

I`m paying in R$, so the price is actually very good.

I`m asking if the game is in a playable state, justifying the purchase during the sale, or if it is still so buggy that even at half price it is just not worth it. All the reviews I see are from before the fixes, when the game was pretty much unplayable. I mean, seriously, hero forgetting spells??

Well, we do have review here.

At this point some people played it and been happy.

I can't say more, not being an owner.

Yeah, I read that. Even though I never posted here before, I follow CH since heroes 4 was released. I was wondering if someone elso could give me another opinion.

Is this a sign of no expansions coming? ;-)

People still reported these issues up to this last update. 1.7 is supposed to fix this and that in addition to other things. I would consider waiting till then just to make sure. I mean, waiting until 1.7 is released. Not sure if it'll be before Feb 12th though. Can't say much more given I'm not also an owner.

If you primarily play Campaign, this is a very good Heroes game.

If your draw is Hot Seat, it is okay, but it has few maps right now.

If you like multiplayer, it is a horrible Heroes game.

Thank you and all the others who replied! I played a lot of hotseat matches in H3, but after that I stopped. Right now I am focusing on the campaign, so this comment is particularly useful.

Seriously H7 is a freaking insult, sometimes I tend to think even more than H6.

Luckily you can create random maps in the editor.

The RMG is not even in game, how cheap is that. How long does it take to create a random map btw? In AoW3 is a few seconds.

It depends on the size you want, but I do mention that in my review. I timed the RMG with a stopwatch and got 6 minutes for a small skirmish map. This is too long, IMO; I could accept a minute or two. The editor system in H7 does have the drawback of being extremely resource demanding (more so than the game itself). The end result, though, is not bad; the maps generated seem to be of an acceptable quality. So I guess you can set the RMG to work and make yourself a sandwich while it churns out the map for you.

6 minutes for small map, over 1 hour for XL size?

On modern computers that kind of speed is unacceptable.

We are not talking about 1mhz Apple II computers with 48kb RAM. I am assuming Kalah is using their recommended spec at least, Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.1 GHz with 6GB RAM. This is considered a high end processor.

To need a supercomputer to make a H7 map is Totally Unacceptable under any and all circumstances.

I don't know, but I can try that for you to see what the time actually is.

My computer specs are listed at the bottom of the review.

Test completed: the RMG takes 11.5 minutes to generate a huge (300x300) scenario map on my PC.

This kind of reminds me of my youth when my friends and I would set up a game of Championship Manager and it took so long to generate that while the PC was setting it up, we went and played football. :D

11.5 minutes, that's about how much time I have left in a day for gaming after my kids' dinner, homework, bath and story before bed time.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

If you generate a small one, you might even have time to start it. :D
