They're on track, but I'm wondering what happens after patch 1.9. Surely they can't go to 2.0, so we'll be seeing an infinite series 1.91 to 1.9999...

They should have started the patches with .01 etc. Then at least they would have had 99 patches to fix (read: make) the game. ;)

It could well be that if an add-on is coming then patch 1.9 would be the last; then restart with 2.1. :D

There's certainly much positive to be said about Limbic's patching; the previous games didn't get this many fixes. Of course, we could debate whether so many patches should be needed, but at least they keep working on it.

That would be a short debate :-D Do all agree?
But you're right. Did H6 ever get fully patched?

It did not.
I suppose you could say that H5 got patched to an acceptable level, but it was really only after the second expansion that the game was really good; certainly not at the time of the last patch before the first expansion.

The first patch should never have happened. A small delay in the release could have allowed that to make it in the initial release; that was not Limbic's call to make. However it is encouraging that Limbic is putting this much effort to continue the patch work; hopefully a fully patched game will result.

I still haven't bought the game. Now I'm thinking that I should wait till after this patch, or the one after that. ;)

I'm thinking that if you haven't bought it yet, you might as well wait and see if there's an expansion coming, hopefully with all the patches installed on disc.

I have found the game a pleasure to play with few bugs now. You are missing out on a great game if you are still sitting on the sidelines. No, I do not work for Ubisoft and have been somewhat critical of their past efforts (H6).

May we understand this as a hint for something that isn't official announced at this point but you are already aware of :-D ?

Nothing yet? I was wondering if the SC blog would still be used to announce articles, or if everything new will appear only and directly on the official forums.

They'll probably make announcements via Facebook and the official forums from now on, possibly increasing the importance of the Community sites. :)

There is that word again (DISCS); if, then who would get them.

As you know it's all a big joke, if they really had made the game "with the community" as they claim said community wouldn't be so upset. Game wouldn't be so poorly received and rated just about everywhere (even the clueless and/or paid reviewers couldn't keep up with the fanrage). Even more despicable they try to hide the bad, flawed and heretic game design behind atrocious amount of bugs. :vomit:

H7 not only does not innovate but also fails to meet expectations regarding known features, which are better done in the old games.

Ironically, fans keep wanting the same features, but also want innovation to the degree of a contradiction in terms.

Build UPON, not build-a-new nor butcher existing features, what is it you don't understand?
