I just downloaded from Robenhagen's link but I don't see where it says version 1.1 anywhere. I hope I got the right version.

It doesn't say in the file name but it is indicated in-game, in the description.

Unfortunately the campaign version does not show just the map version, which I did not change, but I have downloaded the version that is linked here and it is the correct version I believe if you check the properties of the zip file its creation date is April 30, 2006, 1:34:53 PM.

The one you can download from first page of celestial heavens is the one with bug? Or have they fixed it? I just downloaded it.

EDIT: Ok, I am gonna use that link from previous posts. Hope it works.

Yes, I did check the creation date and it said April 30, 2006, so I must have the right one. :oex: Anyhow, I decided to restart my game and I'm just about where I left off before … so nothing lost. So far, I love the storyline & the variety of Heroes and their skills, etc. Well, I gotta get back to the game … see ya' all later. :-D

Ok I have researched the problem and here is the awful truth as to what happened on map 2. Perhaps it will motivate you a bit to keep going as the situation is fairly unique in this campaign. After the playtesters had finished that map I decided to make a significant change (bad move without retesting it with someone else). Originally Eáránë appeared only in this map, I then decided to allow for her possible return in the final map and placed a generic hero icon and assigned various skills to her and left it at that. When the playtesters got to map 8 she had been added, but I thought you know if someone develops Eáránë, then that should be the character they get with levels added to make her compatible with the other heroes. So map 2 has a carryover hero that is getting the same skills Eáránë gets as she gets them. The hero then transfers those skills to the hero icon in map 8 during turn 1, she then levels up. The bottom line is the trigger script that changes Neska red became part of the script that changes the Eáránë’s carryover hero to orange so the skills will transfer. (I could not use a carryover hero directly as some difficulty levels do not get her or have to chose and carryover heroes can not change color.) So now Neska changes too soon and the encounter script does not run and the game does not end. If you are playing map 1 keep going but download version 1.2 and overwrite your the file do not rename it before you start map 2, if you have started map 2 then restart or use the cheat to finish, but only after you approach Neska. It will not set a variable that tells the game whether you captured Theritos, so some text and a couple of quests later in the campaign will be odd as they will assume you did not help. Again the gods must hate me, but I am trying to make the whole experience enjoyable for you. I am rechecking all of the maps ensuring they will end properly.

To all please wait for version 1.2a, I sent it to Celestial Heavens yesterday it fixes the map 2 problem and a potential in map 4. Map 3 is ok (I replayed myself last night).

I am sorry for the posting workout these errors I am finding where caused by modifications after you had playtested it, so they were not there for you or Wimfrits to catch. Fortunatley there should be little more to fix hopefully none, but that maybe overly optimistic

Just posted on Celestial Heavens is my campaign Dragon’s Fate. Be sure You have the latest version you scenario information should show version 1.2 on maps 1 and 2. This brings to a close a project I have been working on for 3 years (some breaks included) :tired: and it has been tested by Zealot, Robenhagen and Wimfrits. All three have greatly influenced both the game play and the storyline of these maps. This is an RPG campaign and will require a great deal of reading to fully enjoy it. You will need WoW and TGS as the artifacts and creatures from these expansions have been used throughout and are an integral part of the campaign. I have made no attempt nor have I tested its compatibility with the Equilibris mod. Undoubtedly some scripts may not perform as intended with that mod and game play has been adjusted with the Heroes IV shortcomings in mind and any correction made by the mod will influence play in unpredictable ways. If someone wants to volunteer to modify it to play with that mod, email me and I will discuss with you the items that will need to be checked. (I suspect there may not be much, but I have not used the mod yet.)

A possilbe fix to the map 2 Neska problem is posted below and in the spoiler thread


I have made an honest attempt to make it replayable and fun at all difficulty levels. :sweat: The maps adjust by the difficulty level neutral creature stacks and many quest hut requirements or hut rewards change based on the playing level. I will make more comments as necessary later, the readme file does not have a spoiler section, but I will write one if needed, but it will be a couple of weeks before an extensive one is available. For hints or comments you can either send me a private message (preferred or email me at jeffreygriffith@adelphia.net, put Dragon’s Fate in the title so it goes to a special folder otherwise it might get blocked as spam or you can post in the spoiler thread.

You dont have to wait though.Just open the campaign in the editor,find the caryover hero(hes to the middle bottom of the map),find an event named "g" and delete it.
