Dear Councillors,
After giving us Sylvan's line up some days ago, Dev Blog finally reveal Might & Magic's Heroes for Sylvan.
Might Heroes are Avenger, ranger or Warden, suit with light armor and a bow.
Magic Heroes are Thornsower, Mystic and Starsinger, designed with cape and a spear.
Numerous players' comments those artworks, and many dislike helmets or cape design. Maybe Ubisoft will change those aspects during the 3D creation...
And you, do you consider those design matches well for Sylvan's faction ?

Heroes look fine; flamboyant and gay is a reasonable image of these elves. I'm kind of conflicted about all the fan "comments." On the one hand, salamander said it best here:Aemaeth wrote:

On the other hand, thank goodness they changed the vampire and lich designs.Salamandre wrote:We assist at a new situation here, with developers actively trying to communicate and share with fans, have feedback in real time. They invited fans at their event, answered to questions, then visit regularly the forums (HC at least). Thus, because of that, fans are much more vocal because they know the persons targeted are reading the comments.
Personally I find this approach totally wrong and counterproductive: if I was on developers team I wouldn't give a **** about fans ideas, because is not the fans who have the universal view on all aspects, but me. First, I would start studying all Heroes games, one by one, read articles about, watch game play videos, talk with best players and try to understand what made their success or failure. When all this is assimilated I would start designing the game, but from that point, I wont listen to anyone but only pursuit my ideas.
I couldn't say directly in the news, but I am more and more depressed because of players whom always criticize a bit of design, a bit of skills, a bit of lore...
I really appreciate thiose Heroes, it change from past opus, and it's good !!
Like i said in a comment on the dev blog, who really cares about those helmets, even if Might Heroes have a bow. It's a fantasy game, people are too serious about likelihood, and don't let Dev team express themselves...
Salamander is right !

To sum up my view, boring; really boring. First the only difference between the male and female might hero is a bit of extra hair and slightly larger silver breast plates. If I play female heroes I want to enjoy the view; practicality be dam......
Magic heroes only slightly better but those helmets should be replaced at least on the female by a circlet or magical crown; unless all Sylvan have badly deformed foreheads. The more art I see; I think of two things: system requirements and less and less interested in the game.

I think magic heroes looks like pelicans and might heroes are just your regular Ashan crap.
lol you're welcome, had to drive ourselves insane and totally ravage their comment section, organized the Sandro movement and got hated by Ashanites for that. Now they are happy with the new designs aren't they?mr.hackcrag wrote:On the other hand, thank goodness they changed the vampire and lich designs.
They are happy with about anything thrown at them, actually.
"There’s nothing to fear but fear itself and maybe some mild to moderate jellification of bones." Cave Johnson, Portal 2.
They like a game which isn't Heroes is all I see.
I'm sorry but it's not because you like Ubi-Heroes that they are good. And about Sal's point, the way I understand it developers shouldn't need to seek advice towards the community, as they should know what they are doing in the first place and not be totally clueless about game mechanics, atmosphere and visual trademark of the franchise, as well as lore -which I consider to be highly undervalued, especially when it dictates about everything in the game, from visuals to actual gameplay lolAemaeth wrote:I really appreciate thiose Heroes, it change from past opus, and it's good !!
