Today, Heroes VII has officially been made available for pre-order. Customers can choose between several different game versions:
1. Standard Edition (retail or digital) just the full game, no extra shinies.
2. Digital Deluxe Edition. In addition to the full game, it will contain a digital version of the soundtrack, some digital contents like the Solmyr hero and an extra map scenario, and on top of it all you get the new Heroes III HD game as well.
3. Retail Collector's Edition - which we are now able to confirm will be available in the US (order it from the Uplay shop). It includes, as we have seen from the votes on the blog site, a collector's box, a 26-cm Ivan figurine, a 96 page artbook, the soundtrack, two lithographs, a tarot game. There is also the digital extra contents mentioned above.
If you pre-order the game, you will get access to the Closed Beta test. Ubisoft also throw in "4 exclusive in-game portraits and 4 exclusive artefacts".
After years of ignoring North America in the release of special editions, we here at Celestial Heavens are very happy to see Ubisoft finally conceding that the US market is important; the dedicated American fans of the franchise will be glad to have the Collector's Edition box available to them.

It's about damn time!
I'll definitely go for the Digital Deluxe Edition simply to get the H3 game for free as well.

I urge everyone not to preorder. It will reduce their incentive for producing a good game. Ubisoft's greed is already showing through by their very act of shamelessly trying to sell a game that hasn't even gone beta. I can't believe it.
I'm just à bit surprised about the Beta test...
Ubi didn't gave all information about factions and already prepare the beta test...
I have expected it for maybe for the end of June, or begining of July.
May 25th, few days after The Witcher III, I'm sur I will find moments to test the game and report some bugs

OK, I don't get it. I went to the Uplay shop and didn't see the Retail Collector's Edition available anywhere. I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but what am I missing?

And they do this right after they show us skill "wheel" of Heroes 6cjlee wrote:I urge everyone not to preorder. It will reduce their incentive for producing a good game. They really must think the fan base are total mongoloids or something.

Pre-ordering any game seems completely moronic to me. So many times I've read about game after game being released with catastrophic bugs, terrible net code, simply being an awful game, and much more irresponsibility.
It really blows my mind that people will throw money at any potential sewage that passes by and it explains why so many companies can repeatedly profit off that behavior.

Did they get amnesia about how the origins were from the U.S.? Might be the same delirium that makes them think they haven't steered the series into a very dark age.Kalah wrote:

Recommended requirements Heroes 7, 2015 Unreal Engine 3 game - Processor: Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-6100 @ 3.3 GHz RAM: 6 GB Video card: NVidia GeForce GTX670 or AMD Radeon HD7870 (2048 MB VRAM)
Recommended requirements XCOM: Enemy Within, 2013 Unreal Engine 3 game - Processor: 2 GHz Dual Core (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Athlon X2 2.7 GHz) CPU RAM: 4 GB RAM Video: 512MB Video Memory ATI Radeon HD 3000 Series/NVIDIA GeForce 9000 Series or greater
So should we expect a new buggy Heroes 6 game? Why are the requirements so high for such an old graphics engine?
And why the hell is there a closed beta??? Is Ubisoft a new Blizzard and is Heroes 7 a new Starcraft? If they had any good marketers at Ubisoft, after a shameful buggy game as Heroes 6, they would have pushed out a public beta, to convince all potential buyers / fans that the new Heroes is very well made. But no... Ubisoft is now trying to make money out of beta testing.
100% I'm going to buy the game after it comes out, as I also did with the Heroes 6 buggy editions, but I fear for a new disgrace of a game. The stupidly high requirements for an Unreal Engine 3 game and the closed beta are bad sign in this direction

Well I wouldnt advise anyone against collectors eddition.
First of all , you get physical stuff , which is good even if game is crap. Basicaly extra stuff has nothing to do with game.
If you don't want stuff, can as well wait, considering there is steam availability , it will go 25 % discount in no time, and 75 % after a year.

Grumblers will grumble, no matter what... they really need to learn to step back and look at the bigger picture.
UBI is still willing to put capital behind a game everyone here knows and loves!
Most fans didn't care much for the skill system developed for H6, but it seems UBI is addressing the weak skill system of H6 as it develops H7, turning back to something more in line with what fans want.
I respect even a modicum of responsiveness to a fan base by game developers, so I bought the PRE-ORDER as a vote of confidence and appreciation for UBISOFT, letting them know I REALLY APPRECIATE their continued interest in one of the best PC game franchises ever to exist!
VOTE with your money... it's the ONLY vote which counts when it comes to keeping the HEROES franchise alive!

Unless I'm missing something, which in my case wouldn't be a surprise, I still do not get what people's issue is with the new skill wheel. From what I've gathered it's more in line with H3 & H5 where skills are now random again as opposed to the lame H6 where every hero and faction had access to every skill. How exactly did that make them individualized?
Re: H7 Collectors Ed. Available in US
personally, I believe the bigger picture is at this point there's a very good case to be made that the Heroes franchise isn't alive, michiganjf wrote:Grumblers will grumble, no matter what... they really need to learn to step back and look at the bigger picture.

I don't think this game is legitimate or worth APPRECIATING, it's basically a fan fiction with the brand name but without the actual fandom, so I have no problem with voting to kill it lol
like when Naughty Dog described the later sequels of their games farmed out to crap developers as "a little bit like watching your daughter do porn" lol
That's pretty much how I feel. Right now, I'm sort of getting completely off the franchise because I see no future in it to my liking. And I wouldn't EVER spend money in a deluxe version of anything if the main product sucked so bad, mainly because it's not cheap also.
I'm so put off this Heroes franchise that even playing the old ones is getting a sour note in my mind and I simply uninstalled all of them yesterday. It's like I feel they can get infected if I play them again. Or it's the idea that I'll never have so much fun as I had and I simply decided to stop daydreaming.

I find I am largely in agreement. When Heroes evolves into a game with the recommended system requirements that I have been reading it makes me pause and think. Has the need to please the young player require so much eye candy that the soul of the franchise has gotten lost. If the requirements were to drive an awe inspiring AI that might be one thing, but I think we know that's not true. I guess my biggest regret is the UBI's insistence on staying with the old stale H-III play format. I do believe Limbic is making an honest effort to create a great game. I am willing to give them that chance, but no pre-order for me until I see and hear if the product deserves my financial support.
