From this recently released shot, it is clear that the editor will allow map makers to create some really nice features in <i>Heroes VII</i>, such as this Argonath-inspired statue.
I can already see players re-creating their <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/search ... arch">Lord of the Rings</a> maps with such a scenery built in. <img src="/images/smiles/big%20smile.gif">

Hmmm...and I was just thinking the screen shot looked pretty nice. One of the nicer features of all the Heroes games is that they DIDN'T push graphic boundries. Those of us who couldn't afford to upgrade our software/hardware very often really appreciated that we could run Heroes games on our existing PC.
I wish they'd lose and forever forget those floating banners - this is not TW. I detest billboards anywhere and <imo> the scene is polluted in much the same way. <iow> it looks like the proverbial "you are here" is everywhere. <L>
But...I am indeed a very picky old map-mage.

I can't tell for sure by pics but it seems the graphics are less than H5, so if they have opted for a compromise than that should make it easier for the older PCs and avoid the past processor-debacle this time around.

Agreed. The Age of Wonders style real banners are so much better, and they worked well in previous Heroes games too. Why couldn't the heroes carry flagpoles/lances with their respective flags?
