H7 Stronghold Images

Unread postby Kalah » 28 Mar 2015, 12:31

Images from the H7 Stronghold faction are starting to trickle out to the public, generating excitement from the fans. This little teaser on the official site indicates that the Behemoth will certainly be part of the town's lineup, while Russian Riot Pixels have published some low-resolution shots of various creatures as well as the town screen seen above.

It looks nice, but much like the other towns, terribly unpractical. Do orcs use parachutes? How else will they get down from the top buildings?

Damn them to hell - another palette swap :mad: This time it's dark raider except goblin rider instead of stupid elf rider. On the bright side, at least it looks a lot more amusing with a goblin in his underwear. I wonder what that hero is mounted on; it would have made for a nice unit instead.

I only see one new unit in there. Overall, barbarian units look almost the same as previous games. They're just going to reuse every old model from here on out, aren't they? :beheading:

The town looks adequate even though it doesn't make any sense why things would be built like that.

Apparently, they have no architects. On the other hand, Necropolis hired an Elton-John-looking one.

@BB Shockwave

Maybe they're using ropes but we don't see all of them. :)

Will they have escape tunnel?

Hmmmmm... I rather like it. Very reminiscent of the Stronghold from Heroes 3, yet original in its own way.

Whoops. There are harpies after all, but no goblins (not counting the basilisk rider)!

Hm, after a second glance, basilisks and wyverns are sooooo... hm, not cool. They are not bad either. Wyverns look weak. Basilisks are clumsy overally speaking. The upgrade version has a strange ability. The weapon is not as long as the head of the basilisk itself - it should be bound to be retaliated anyway. :D I really thought that making the goblin control the basilisk to bite the enemy was a better approach. But that's just me.

The "full version" cuts out all the barbarians who built their dwellings over valleys and cliffs. :mad:
