How long has this page been around?
It says the dwarves have valkyries as emblematic ally, which means a recruitable unit for all the other factions.

Anyone knows if this is the final in-town design?

The arbitrary dragon in the town looks really out of place.

It feels like a citadel, more than it would feel like a town. It's as if it's floating on a random landscape. As it is now, of course. They might add elements in future, or terrain-based scenery.

As for units, can't say much without knowing their stats, what they do in battle. A bit curious regarding some of those war machines and these ally units people are talking about.

I think it's a fully upgraded town. It has capitol and all, 9000 gold income.

Hope they will change it a bit. The whole perspective is a bit off. The art is nice tho.

I can't quite place my finger on it, but there seems to be something unnatural about the town screens from H6 until now. I'd be curious to see another "best town screen" poll once H7 town arts are finished.

The hero and unit portraits look kinda bad as well, and what's up with that frame?

The art style for the town looks beautiful to me.

I hope they keep it like that (looking more like a picture than 3d models).

The frame + unit portraits are clearly cheaply made for display purposes and not the final ones.

I don't really like the dragon - but then I never liked the idea of tying all the factions to different dragon gods because it's really lame. It's probably a statue of Elrath which makes a lot of sense but... well it's always going to be lame but they might as well represent their dragon God. I always found it odd in 5 and 6 that the dragon Elrath wasn't represented much.

You who do not like the dragon in the townscreen - just imagine H3 haven town with a spaceshuttle as the grail structure. At H3 time a space shuttle would have been proper lore-justified grail, not the crappy colossus or whatever the structure was called. Now the lore has changed and now a dragon should be everywhere. It does not matter whether it fits or not, it is the official lore, and the fact that for any alternative story it may be totally out of place is not developer's problem. They do not care about alternative stories by community mapmakers, they just want that Erwan's fantasies spread and bring them a coin.

I wonder if after these votes to see which factions the game will be launched, they'll launch an expansion with the exactly two losing factions. :(

Well, I hope that the loses + at least Sanctuary (that aren't getting a look in to the votes apparently) do get released in expansions.

I mean they're relatively easy from a design perspective for Ashan (already having existed in the world). In the case of any of them except Dungeon it would also be really easy to do a dlc campaign that includes them as an adviser (as if they were always there).

I mean I hope if they do a full expansion it's more along the lines of heroes 3 or 4 than heroes 5 and 6 (which got fairly small expansions - 6 being the most disappointing).

But I wouldn't turn down dlc campaigns for every faction as advisers to Ivan. I really like the idea of fleshing out the world by telling important stories in each factions past (Which should also mean that we learn about other factions in each story too).

Although I hope they're all longer than 4 maps - I mean the heroes 6 campaign was short and messy to follow :/

I'm quitting homm forever if that happens! 8|

If they release any more factions after the original six, I'd like them to be brand new.
