DaemianLucifer wrote:The point in using undead is exactly in that they never panic,never partially obey,or disobey,never rebel,etc.They always obey you the best way they physically can.The whole point of undead having no morale in previous HoMMs was to point out that they have no mind and that they always attack in the same way.Having a unit attacking harder because some of its comrades died means that that unit has a mind and is conciusly aware of whats going on around it.So an enraged zomby is one of the stupidest things theyve put in HV.Even worse than those idiotic names.
Actually, it's rather strange that the "no morale" extends to all undead. I can see it apply for skeletons, Zombies, and perhaps ghosts, but Vampires and Liches? They most certainly has a mind of their own, and quite likely a will to "live" on as well, so it's kind of strange that they're not affected by morale.

Actually its not.While true that they have a will of their own,they are still subjegated to cintrol undead.Although the necromancer controling a vampire needs to be incredebly powerfull.Not to mention the power he needs to control a lich.

relax, can't you see TT is not being serious? :oex:

@ Gaidal Cain: yeah, i always thought vampires not having morale was wierd, since they were living before and they didn't go through the experience of death
I used to be indecisive, now I am not so sure...

@GC
They didn't have emotions, so no morale. It wasn't meant to signify they wouldn't retreat if the odd where against them, but that they didn't feel panic or boldness. They just use cold logic.

@DL
Well if Skeletons can bleed they can also have BRAINS... they just carry it all in a hip little purse. :tongue:

Read what I said again. Undead cannot feel fear or be inspired. They have no emotions, thus no morale. Being conscious and having free will is not the same as having emotions.

No emotions? So why is Sandro so frustrated by being put in a cage?

Coz he's Sandro. :D

Well, he could have been experiencing pure mental frustration... ;)

Maybe a better way of putting it would be that it doesn't affect their bodies. No adrenaline rush and stuff like that.

Vampires should feel fear and inspiration, and so should liches. Vampires are afraid of the sun (oh god, this opens up a whole new discussion now - vampires fighting on sunlight) and liches are just mages who are undead, a bit on the crazy side but human-minded non the less.

but you would imagine the troops of other factions will be sleeping during the night, and not going about fighting and collecting resources :rolleyes:

Only the live ones.And I think dungeon would have no problem with nocturnal activities.

Well,this is more like a wish for future heroes.I seriously doubt that day/night cycle will be implemented in HV.
