Just wnted to say that I changed my avatar from Sheltem to the elven shopkeeper in For Blood and Honor. Sheltem is a cool guy, but it's not a very good gravatar, as you kind of need to know the context to understand the meaning.
Also, MM7 had some nice NPC portraits. And I like elves overall. My initial idea was to use Parson for the new avatar, but his image isn't very good in the game, while the smacker video is too low-res to see pretty much anything.
It's also interesting how, if you look at the NPC portraits (ICONS.LOD), you can see a certain jump in quality between regular people and shopkeepers. Probably because they spent more time on shopkeepers, since they are pretty prominent in the videos. Then again, the portrait of Catherine is pretty gosh darn bad in MM7, compared to the one in HoMM3
