I see ubi has no intention in implementing ST - simultaneous turns - even if this method has been implemented over a decade ago, they still "has no plan" yet, or no proper human resources to do it.

well, in that case, I have no plan either to achieve dlc's, or addons or stand alone or whatever; for me the game itself is a failure because of these rubbers: ubi!

It's funny how everyone hates UBI for not implementing sim turns in H6, when the first Heroes game to feature that was H5.

And with the amounts of complaints, surely they must implement it for Heroes 7.

My opinion: Who liked H6 up to now will like this one as-well. Who did not, for various reasons... nothing improved in a way to change their minds.

it has been implemented with H5, true, but without it, multiplayer games cannot be! As simple as that. I enjoyed Heroes games since H2, but now hopping ubi will sell franchise. All multiplayer communities are finished because of that; may be that was the purpose...which by the way was also a failure!

I've paid the full retail price for the original game which was still a beta version, not making the same mistake again.

I have to agree with "Crayno" on this one. I think I'll wait for it to show up on GOG. Yes that means a LONG (years?) wait, but at least it will be playable by then.

I know that there is a LOT more variety in operating systems, and hardware, and drivers than ever before... But don't you all miss the days when you could buy a game and then play it? Seems these days everything gets released before the bugs are worked out.

Sigh!

Hi there people. It's been a looong time since I walked these streets. I just finished SoD - it was interesting - although I'm a long-time disenchanted (since H III) player. I guess it was my OCD kicking in which made me buy it. It was damned expensive, especially since I bought it after having bought H6 - rather than the cheaper Complete edition. I think we should have been offered a discount if we already had 6. I guess the 2.1 patch contained SoD which is why it's so big.

I played through on hard achieving Hero rank first try on every map. Way too easy. The AI seems very dumb - leaving room for tricks like using summon phoenix to block enemy shooters. The greatest loss has to be the fan maps. Well enough ranting. Thanks for letting me air my views. As krs says - if you like H6 this is cool. If not then the same shoes will give you the same blisters ;-) If Angelspit pops in - Hi there mate, nice to see the site still thriving.

Pfft. :grumpy: I couldn't care less what Ubi does or releases. I will never buy another one of their products after the huge disappointment that was Heroes 5. :disagree: I still love playing Heroes 3 and Heroes 4. Still waiting for the next upgrade of Equilibris to come out though. ;|

If I could go back in time and play H6 SoD, I would definitely say that it blows away H3. However, since I cannot, H4-H6 is not as fun. Strange how most of us say this. I guess the game is sort of like messing around with a drug. It is cool for a while, then it is routine. 8/10 - Missing 2 points due to AI challenge (handicaps) and hero & creature attribute inaccuracies.
