Selling Artifacts

I have never been able to sell useless duplicate artifacts in HOMM4. Is there a fix out there or is this just another annoying game flaw?

Do you mean many artifacts of the same kind which you happen to pick up from the map?

Yes, especially those types, but in general any artifact no longer wanted. Can they be sold?

No there's no such adventure object. I don't remember there is such in H3 even. Just give this artifact to some other hero.

You can create such object by using scripts and quest hut in editor. But still it's a lot of work to do.

So in conclusion, selling artifacts to vendors only appears in HOMM5 not 4.

Just dump them somewhere. Make u'r own dragon's hoard. Dump them around u'r main castle. Looks nice

Yeah no way to sell them or get rid of them completely in H4, not that I know of anyway. And it does get annoying, especially when you get a shit load of useless scrolls, parchments or other stuff you can't get rid of.

Actually, I've just thought of something. You can't sell them, but maybe you can give them all to some level 1 unit then dismiss it. ?

you should be able to dismiss the army, leaving a treasure pile behind with all artifacts in it

Or you can feed up a monster with u'r artifacts.

Just put everything in one expendable stack. Let the stack fight some monster. Once it was defeated, the artifact went to the monster stack's inventory.

Selling artifacts to an Artifact Merchant was available in Heroes 3 (at least in towns; all you need to do is hit the button at the bottom of Artifact Merchants that switches the interface from buy to sell. I can't remember if the adventure map Artifact Merchants had a similar button off the top of my head).

If u have WoG installed then u can do that.


But in HoMM 4, there u can't do.
