Some upgraded titles seems a bit disappointed and the Grim raider is one of its . I think the upgraded title shood discribe the emprovement of unit and I can't understand what emrovement is Grim raider in compairsion with Dark raider . IMHO , it should be : Dark raider -> Dread raider . Another example is Shadow Witch -> Shadow Matriarch . The witches symbolize some wisdom and magic abilities , not being in charge of power and matriarch is illogical upgrade for them . Both those variants would be more correct , IMHO : Shadow witch -> Great witch or Shadow lady -> Shadow matriarch . The transvestion of Rakshasa rani -> Rakshasa raja is a plain joke because rani in India is raja's wife , they should rename to more simple Rakshasa -> Rakshasa raja and be a same gender .

Great Witch and Shadow Lady?! 8| No thank you, I think I prefer them better as they are now. At least it's not Matron-Matriarch.
And as we're not going to get the sex change removed now Rani and Raja work just fine. Dread Raider just doesn't have the ring to it that Dread Knight did, but anything's better then Grim Raider.

ethric posted a good yet simple solution that solves the age old footman/squire/sowrdsman/knight problem, why didn't i think of that? for those who are interested, it's:

Swordsman -> Master Swordsman
I used to be indecisive, now I am not so sure...

Not Great witch AND Shadow lady , just Great witch OR Shadow lady . Current version is like if swordsman would be upgraded into marksman , the quantitive step is present , but logic is insane .

No, I got that one. I just don't think they sound good. And you can just pretend she's the matriarch of a witch family. Or a better name would be Shadow Priestess (as in Coven Priestess), even if Matriarch sound a bit better.

Guys, don't we already have a Master something in the game? Footman/Swordsman -> Crusader would work better.

Oh,right.And I just realised that crusader isnt good as well.Crusaders fought in the crusades to liberate the holy cross,hence their name.But the cross isnt the symbol of falcon empire,so it cant be used.Templars,on the other hand,would fit in nicely.

It's a cross, but I think it was supposed to be a sun symbol, not that of a guy who's the portal figure of their religion. Thus, it's not a symbol of an actual physical cross. This of course means nothing when deciding on the name "Crusader", as that word has evolved to be useable in a larger context. Syaing that it couldn't be used is like saying that there must be another word for assassin as that sect didn't exist in the heroes world...

Of course there was a sect like that in the HoMM world. The only difference is that they are called a55a55ins... ;)

Aw, what the heck. Sex-changing creatures are a sort of 'brand' of Heroes, at least that's how I see it. So what if it's illogical? It's funny! :)

Ah... sex change, HoMM kinda got it wrong:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clownfish
Clownfish are protandrous hermaphrodites, meaning they are hatched as sexually immature fry. Based on signals from their environment and being physically mature (12–24 months) they will either remain sexually immature, change into a male or change into a male then female. A group of clownfish is always built into a hierarchy of this type, with the female (the largest and most aggressive) at the top. The change from juvenile to male, and male to female is irreversible. If the female should die or be removed from the group, the most dominant male then changes into a female, and the rest of the males move up a rank on the hierarchy.

that's wierd... so what if a dominate male just felt like changing into a female without a female dying? would he get like stoned to death or something ;|

There isn't a dominant male while the female is alive. She's the one that picks and choses. At least that what i understood.
