<img src="/images/news/newsquestion.png" align=right vspace=5 hspace=5>In <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/813">this week's Q&A</a>, we asked who the developer of the upcoming expansion was. Apparently, it isn't Limbic, but a Chinese company named Virtuos. Whether this is good news or bad is all a matter of perspective, but we have all seen the commitment Limbic have brought to the patching programme of <i>Heroes VI</i>, so I take it that some of you are disappointed.
However, there's still the matter of what Limbic are doing, since Ubisoft confirmed that they are "still in touch with them" and that we "might be hearing from them in the near future". Apparently, then, those <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/134221 ... cturnal</a> Germans are still working on some kind of <i>Might & Magic</i> franchise related project. The question is: what?
A second expansion?
A new game, like maybe <i>Heroes VII</i>?
More patching?
Anything else? Anybody out there got any ideas?

I'd love to see a M&M 10. I can't decide which i like better M&M or HMM.

If I had to guess, I'd say that their work on patching H6 was proving grounds for them to move on to co-developing H7 along with Ubi this time. If that is the case, however, don't expect to hear about it any time soon.

I have no idea, but it seems to me that it would be smart to develop the next Heroes game with an absolute focus on the map editor, an easy-to-use yet powerful random map generator, and (if possible), some decent modding capability. Of course, you can't create a random map editor until the other parts are all done but you can include it in most of the steps along the way so that it's an integral part of the game plan, and the editor could be developed along with the game. I also think a return to lots of different factions and standalone play (no forced online), and a high-quality PRINTED manual would bring people back to the fold. Yes, I know lots of factions is hard to balance and probably adds exponentially to game-development time but it may be worth it.

One thing is for sure. UBI went to Russia and Hungary because of a single reason. So I do not think LImbic will be central part in something big.

Uhh...not much. Just trying to avoid going totally broke in the present economy. (I never did play Heroes 6 but I read enough about it to get the general idea.)
How about you?

I tried really hard to get Fnord to come back to the Last Hope project, but he was like bubble gum stuck in hair: stubborn as hell!

Well darn! But could be worse. I don't have a decent job or any kids and I still don't have enough time for games!

Hey, I'm neither pink nor sticky! But uh...yeah, well, you know...if I *had* agreed to do ERM for you, you'd have been regretting it. After all these years of forgetting what everything does, I'd probably code it so the map implodes and eats the user's computer (and then there would be screaming and lawsuits and finger pointing and all kinds of kaffluffle!)
So how's it going, eh?
