Necros

Unread postby Copper God » 16 Jun 2012, 03:31

What we know about this strange person? He is actually evil, he wants to get the power of the Elder Races and bring the death to all life. But at this my knowledge about Nekros is end. Can anyone tell me another information about him? They say that Nekros is Death God from Heroes IV, but I haven't any proofs of it.

"Don't be sentimental, mortal. This war is bigger than any village. The very power of the Elder Races hangs in the balance, a power that only I will possess." (c) Nekros, Crusaders of MM.

"I have visited the remains of your former world, Kalibarr. I have seen the rubble of ancient cities, the bones of those who couldn't make it through those annoying portals! So much gone. It was beautiful! But it's a pity so many escaped my reach." (c) God of Death, Heroes IV.

None from above, it isn't D&D and general people characters are more complicated then D&D diagram.

And now about Nekros from CoMM himself - watch this video and you get some answers about his motives.

Alignment system applies not only to DnD and there are another settings that use it too. :) For example, in MM III, VII, H IV were partly similiar alignment systems. Also you can read about alignments here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... rAlignment

Thank you very much for this video, but I've already seen it. If u can show some additional information about Nekros from CoMM - it would be great.

The God of Death in H4 was not originally created as Necros, but that doesn't mean we can't interpret him that way!

There is a page on Necros in the Crusaders manual, but it doesn't reveal much. Crusaders of Might and Magic was actually not made by NWC, it was a 3DO operation with no guys from the NWC staff.

I'd definitely say he is Lawful Evil.

Thank you for your answer my friend! But could you tell me why you think so? :)

As for me, I really confused about Nekross. ;|

Firstly, he was a Dark Lord and evil master of the Legion of the Fallen, which could interpret him as a Lawful Evil character.

But secondly, If we talk about him as a Death God, he was symbol of destruction and also he had so crazy plan to destroy all living flesh on Axeoth. And Gauldoth said about Death God that he is insane. These qualities could attributed to Chaotic Evil persons.

Yes this is true, but who knows how Necros would have changed after visiting the realm where the Kreegan live?

Beforehand Necros was a villain but I don't think he was trying to destroy the world in COMM.

I absolutely agree with you. It is possibly that the energy of the Kreegan Realm could lead him to insanity. Do not rule out that the same could happened to Kalibarr.
