Depends on level and Dagger enchant.tolich wrote:I think that a Spear without a Dagger would be a bit better.
1) Then why not two Daggers? Why do you put 27 points into Spear skill, instead of putting them into Dagger skill?GrayFace wrote:Depends on level and Dagger enchant.tolich wrote:I think that a Spear without a Dagger would be a bit better.
Because an Archer can Master it, but he cannot dual it with something but Dagger. So this one-hand behaviour is almost useless. In contrast, Dark elves Master sword as well, so they could use deadly combination of Spear/Sword, not as good as Knight can though.Holly wrote:Sure, it's better with a Knight, but why the hate for archer?
Dark Elves cannot use Spear at all. They can Master Dagger and Sword and learn Mace at Normal. That's all their melee options. Dual Swords are among the best setups, though.tolich wrote:Because an Archer can Master it, but he cannot dual it with something but Dagger. So this one-hand behaviour is almost useless. Actually never thought of it. I'd never use a Mace with a Dark Elf though, they can't even get it to Expert where the nifty damage bonus kicks in. And I have never used a dagger in conjunction with a sword, (unless it was a vampire), only two swords for superior damage. Your overall attack speed gets determined only by the weapon in your right hand, am I right?tolich wrote:Oops.Xfing wrote:Dark Elves cannot use Spear at all.
They still can dual a Sword with a Mace or a Dagger.
The bonus from the left hand for Sword/Dagger combination means that Dagger bonus works, but Swords does not, amirite? Dagger's skill bonus doesn't work for Dagger/Sword.GrayFace wrote:No, the slowest weapon determines attack speed. You also don't get any damage bonus from skills when dual-wielding unless you're GM in Dagger, because the skill of weapon in the left hand determines damage and attack bonuses.
