It's true that magogs can hit their own allies, but by taking advantage of larger units (which occupies more than 1 hex), that can be avoided.
Yeah, it just depends on the occasion. The target must be a 2-hex unit - usually it's a strong foe. Unless you're attacking them with your other units, nothing to worry about magogs. There's always to choice to buy gogs too.

But the strategies are many, as you and cjlee said.

Now regarding this castle x inferno, in spite of spells or anything else, if you place 1 of each unit of one faction against 1 of each unit of the other, upgraded or not, who would win? I cannot test myself, but I think that's what have been asked in first place. :D

In which case perhaps, given how rarely Conflux is picked, players didn't pick it either because it's (clearly, to me at least) overpowered? Like, if you look at Street Fighter 2, Akuma wasn't banned in Japan and yet rarely ever picked, despite being far and away the best character in the game.

I know in my competitive MP games Conflux was picked like ... once ... and then we concluded it's blatantly overpowered and never picked it again.
I'm a hypocrite because I suggested that all life is sacred and should not be wasted without good reason.

Guys, if you are in doubt under which conditions JJ wrote his guides, do not forget that he is still active and you can ask himself. Dunno if he replies to PM here, but over at Heroes community if not.

We already discussed over his arguable guide in a whole thread, and despite experienced players arguments, he is still entitled to his 10 years old opinions. Even my Jedi ability did not convince him to revise.

That's why we love him, his convictions last...for ever.

There just might be more effective actions for the hero than assisting a mediocre unit :P
Tee he he... it's like what they said, "Hitting 2 birds with one stone" :-D

U can avoid one bad situations while at same time taking advantage of one good opportunity B-)

This be difficult man. Seems like what Inferno's specialty is making bad situations worse, while Castle likes to simply overpower with numbers. Like how u can compare multi-headed attack with HPs or double strike with fire shields ?

If one faction wants simply to make such pitted fights while the other is good being avoiding just that, then they're uncomparable I think :D

Well, they being just opposite to the other, they should really be made to face each other. Figures. :-D
