Might and Magic 6 on windows 7

I have been trying to install might and magic 6 on my laptop. I clicked on run, and the install/exit screen comes up. I click install, and the screen in which i have to give permission comes up. I click yes to giving permission, and then nothing else happens. Idk what to do!

Try running in windows 98/me compatibility mode. In order to run MM7 with non software render I had to use that.

He's clearly trying to install it, so neither of those will work.

First of all, disable UAC. Then try again, but instead of using the "install" button, open the CD from My Computer and press on INSTALL.EXE or SETUP.EXE, depending on which release this is. It might also be in a subfolder named similarly. Also make sure to wait a sufficient amount of time, for example, 10 minutes.

If this doesn't work, disconnect from the internet (for your protection) and disable your antivirus and firewall, then try again.

If that doesn't work, then you will need to perform a 'clean boot'. This is a guide about how to do that: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796

It must have been my computer being stubborn last night, because i went through install today with no problems at all, but upon opening the game, right at the 3DO part, the screen froze, but you could still hear the game going. I couldnt skip the intro either. So im assuming that im going to need a patch.

Don't worry i will, i used to love this game when we had it with XP and vista. Heck i like 6 7 and 8, but mostly 6.

That wouldn't work anyway, my laptop is a 64 bit. I think thats how they are all made nowadays.

You can install 32-bit OSs in computers running on the x86_64 architecture. But no, it would not help at all. MMs starting from 6 are completely 32-bit, which is emulated precisely on 64-bit Windows by Windows on Windows 64. So it's absolutely the same as using a 32-bit OS except that you get a whole lot of additional performance. Sure, you can't launch 16-bit programs, like MMs 1-5, but that's what you have DOSBox for.

Well I got my Might and Magic back now, so i'm not worried about it anymore.

I have a burnt copy of MM6 and a computer with windows 7. It downloaded properly and will let me play with no problems with the video or the images, however anytime I use a scroll like the fireball or cold beam I had it disappears and never comes back. I tried to reload the game, I tried to exit it all and restart it but the scroll always goes away...

Is it patched with Grayface's patch? this is normal scrolls should be one use items unlike wands.

You're wrong. All scrolls are supposed to be used once. Peruse the list of fixed bugs.
Moreover it's now impossible to swap characters. *sigh*
