Nice design.

Antipode is used as a word but is the wrong singular. It should be antipus (it's exactly like octopus-octopodes where pus-podes is not a suffix but a noun in singular-plural, meaning foot-feet)

Antipode is an Australian and I have never seen that Dragon around these parts.

Does a Python or a Hydra look anything like a medieval Dragon? No, but they are still dragons in ancient mythology.

An Antipodean is an Australian. Australia itself was called Antipodes (not Antipode) because it's on the other side of the planet, Europe-wise. Though this point is really a bit to the South-east of New Zealand and Australia is the Antipodes unto the middle of North Atlantic.

A Hydra is a Hydra, a Wyvern is a Wyvern, a Dragon is a Dragon, a Wyrm is a Wyrm. How do you suppose you call your ordinary two-winged black dragon with a single head and four legs? There is a single name, dragon.

Even here in Lithuania, we have dragons and hydras and we call them by different names.

). Word dragon evolved from word snake IIRC.

Hydra was a snake with multiply heads. Wyrm, wyvern and drake were all kind of dragon, different names in different languages (and also different crests for noble houses).

But if we talk about fantasy world and not real world, then wyrm, drake and wyvern can be some kind of a dragon but they can't be the dragon. Hydra is different species through.

You are missing the point. A Hydra was described as a Dragon. Dragons are not species but a family of species. It's like saying "here we have a triceratops, here a tyrannosaurus and here is a dinosaur". Of course, in fiction rarely anyone goes into the trouble of naming to which species a dragon belongs. In Greek mythology they are usually named by species and name of particular creature. For example, there were the hydras, of which the most famous is the Lernaean, from which the concept of MM hydras is taken. N.B. dragon is from Greek, as well as drake and all variants of the word in all European languages (it means "the one with sharp vision")

If greeks described a dragon as a pink ball of cottony delight I would not care much if it didnt look cool and sexy. I like these they look cool and sexy and thats all that matters.
