Too expensive. I'm thinking more like:
Acer eMachines E442 15.6" HD - 3000 kr
AMD V series V160 / 2.4 GHz
2 GB DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz
320 GB - 5400 rpm
15.6" TFT 1366 x 768 (WXGA) LED-background
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
I don't need the DVD drive, but I guess it doesn't hurt too much to have it there ... but then again it's one more thing that can break.
If HP:
HP Compaq Presario CQ56-230 15.6" HD LED - 3000 kr (on sale)
Intel Celeron T3500 / 2.1 GHz (not wild about the Celeron range)
3 GB DDR2 SDRAM
320 GB - Serial ATA-300 - 5400 rpm
15.6" TFT 1366 x 768 (WXGA) LED-background
Intel GMA 4500M Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0 1280 MB

And Acer has a horrible reputation with their laptop displays, most go apeshit within a year or less.eMachines? From what I hear, those have a tendency to explode and fry themslves.
The Compaq wouldn't be too bad, but I've had the chance to use one, and the plastic frame, stability, keyboard...lousy. Just lightly tap a keybaord button and the frame bends. Opening the lid feels like your going to rip it in half. Almost as if they stuck some laptop components inside a milk carton.
Performance-wise it would be good for surfing, office, etc., normal non-intensive activities, but the construction isn't all that good

EDIT:
Packard Bell TK11-BZ-007 -- CDON, 2390 kr
HP G6-1006 -- CDON, 2890 kr
MSI CR650 -- CDON, 2890 kr
Fujitsu AH530 -- CDON, 3490 kr
Closer to your price class -- I assume around 3000 kr. I've had and tried and HP and Fujitsu, and they tend to be very good bang for your buck, reliable, and solid construction. I don't know about MSI and Packard Bell, but I've heard that MSI is decent, and the Packard Bell is so cheap it's suspicious.

It might be this one, HP G6-1006so: AMD Athlon 2 x2 P360 2.3 GHz. The MSI is AMD Dual Core E350 1.6GHz.Kalah wrote:I'm assuming that the Packard-Bell is cheap because the CPU is probably rubbish. The ones at 2890,- sound more promising. Anyobody know whether these have decent speed?
I have no idea why the HP is so cheap, it's listed as 3800 kr. Maybe they only have a few left? Does CDON answer queries on product details?
I think it's part of a campaign of some sort. Lowering the prices on several different products right now could be aimed at students, since the school years starts next week.
I think I want buy that HP, actually ...

I wish I would have waited just a little longer...PC equipment getting better and cheaper is so unfair!

Packard Bell = Acer
eMachine - NO (just an empty skelet usually)
CQ56 - No, that is a horrible thing.
We were selling both of these lines, if you value yourself think a bit higher Kalah.![wink ;)](/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I am wondering: is that processor OK?
