Haven Creature Animations

Unread postby Kalah » 06 May 2011, 11:00

There is a new video on youtube, showing some animations of the Celestial, the Griffin, the Sun rider and the Crossbowman.

I like the crossbowman's H4 Crusader-esque death animation.

Nice, but less than half of the video running time is about animations. Just being picky. :)

Yeah, it would have been nice to see more than just a few.

I'm honestly starting to despise these people. THIS is what passes for news?

Crossbowman was cool. I do not like the angel though, I think they should have used a different design. I think it would have been much better if they created the angel to look similar to the ones in MM7. I also don't like how the angel has two swords.

This is what an angel should look like!

Even before I saw your comment I thought the same thing. Nice but come on man 23 of 50 seconds are just the company trademarks. Really 8|

Far too short, but the animations are smooth looking.

If it's put out by Ubi, then it's technically news and to me this was a waste of time. Like others have said, the damn intros with the company names lasts longer than the actual info in the video.

As for what I would call news, oh I don't know, how about FINALLY telling us and showing us the spells in the game. The fans have only been asking for that bit of info since the game was announced. Same goes for the artifacts. We've only been asking about them forever and the best they could do it put up a few pics on the main page with absolutely no info about them.

How about the skills? Sure, we've seen the interface, but we have no idea what any of these skills do.

How about explaining exactly how the town window works instead of giving us a zoomed in picture to try and fool fans that it looks bigger now? We've only been asking for that since we found out about the new town interface.

How about revealing the rest of the bosses? What have we seen, 2 out of the 8 so far? And of those aside from the look and the name, we know nothing about them. What are their stats, what are their abilities?

How about giving the fans the beta now so we can actually help test it instead of just using it as a marketing tool which is basically what they are doing by saying we'll get it as the final stage?

How about basically anything mentioned in this thread

There are tons of actual info to be had out there, yet they put out this drivel that pretty much no one cares about (10 second animations, hundreds of Michael pics, screenshots that are bascially carbon copies of one another, etc.)

If i may answer then it is news if not by anyone else then because its location in CH file directories. Blame Kalah for calling it a news if you want. Moreover, it indeed is a news. About as good as "Paris Hilton got a new pair of shoes", but a news nevertheless. And i am not surprised at all that Ubi customer molesting department believes that the fanbases of Homm and Paris Hilton largely overlap.

Information, or should I say real information that the fans actually want to know about, is what keeps interest alive while we wait. These little morsels that just about no one asked for or cares about is a slap in the face to the fans that have been asking for specific info since this game was announced. But by all means, lets see another 10 pics of the development of the Michael figurine.

Because more information leads to better decisions when trying to get them to change/polish stuff!

Of course at this point it's kinda late, but you know what they say about hope.

Never hope more than you act? Which reminds me, it's about time for another death threat...
