Getting updates to work when game is not on main drive.

I installed Heroes of might and magic, hammers of fate, and tribes of the east on my bigger E: drive but now I can not get the updates to install because they do not recognize any Heroes of might and magic are even on my PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
