Modding Heroes of Might and Magic 4

Unread postby crackinthekraken » 17 Apr 2006, 05:00

A lot of aspects of this game give me trouble and tick me off (the timing of creature growth especially). Naturally, the best way to counter this is to change the aspects I don't like to aspects I do. Trouble is, I'm minus any mod tools or any easy way to find them- google has failed me. Do any of you know of any good mod tools or anything?

Have you tried the Equilibris mod? If not, check out the Equiibris forum here. The Equilibris team is also working on a huge update that adds lots of content and will be done soon, so keep an eye out for it.

Though I suspect that equilibris might not be exactly what you're looking for, as it doesn't change the game's basic principles, you might still want to ask them how they're doing what they do, even if I'm afraid you'll get an answer implies it would be too hard for you on your own to fix it.

I've actually tried equilibris, but the self-executing archive doesn't work for me. Something fizzles, and when that fizzles, the install fails.

How would I go about contacting the Equilibris team?

You could try their own forum here, or wait and see if they read this one...

Yeah, if you post exactly what is happening when you try to install Equilibris on the Equilibris forum the Equilibris team can probably tell you what you what the solution is. There are lots of us who use it so the problem shouldn't be with the program itself.

Yeah your download may have been corrupted, try another mirror (Like the Torre de Marfil mirrors)
