Troubleshooting of my favourite game. Please HELP!!

Hi i got Heroes 5 gold edition a couple of years ago. My computer has been able to play it once, but then i got a new hard drive/Harddisk and now I can't launch the game. When I start it the splash comes up and then I get an error message, which i cannot see. This is my favourite game and I can't play it so please help.

I suggest you do a clean install first. And by clean I mean, deinstall the game, delete your heroes 5 folder "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft" (make sure to save any mods/maps though) and install

What does the error say by the way?

I have just done exactly what you said but no difference. Btw I can't open the error. I have the older version of gold edition you know the one on 4 discs. It is probably called "Collectors edition" now. Do you have any other advice? Please...

well can you make a screenshot of the error or describe what exactly happens when you start the game?

Did you update the game btw?

I didn't update it. I will try to describe it.


I press the icon on my desktop, it opens the screen turns dark and the splash picture comes up. Then after some times where nothing happens I try use Ctrl and tab to change program. Right next to the Heroes 5 icon i see a file entitled error. I can't open it and when i close it closes my game.

I fixed it. The problem was my outdated drivers. FAIL!
