Celestial Heavens Under New Management

Today, Angelspit officially transferred ownership of the Celestial Heavens site to yours truly – Kalah.

Angelspit is considered the founder of the site in its current form, firmly established at Forumplanet in 2001 and brought to its own home at the end of 2005. Now, after <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/309">10 years</a>, our friendly Canadian orc has retired to focus on his real job, family life, and his original love: news.

So, what’s going to change? Hopefully, not that much. This has been an incremental process going on for some time; Angelspit has been reducing his responsibility since late 2008, and I have slowly but steadily been taking over the reigns. Technically, I’ll own the site, but to me, Angelspit is Celestial Heavens – and I don’t see that changing even if it is my name on the front door. Probability is that he will still be around, popping in from time to time, writing news articles or general comments. I don’t think we’ve heard the last from him. Heroes live forever.

We are looking for some more people, though. With the upcoming release of Heroes VI, Celestial Heavens will need volunteers to help with walkthroughs, programming, forum stuff and writing articles – so if you have some time on your hands and feel that your skills can contribute to the Community, please get in touch.

It's always sad to realise how you have grown, when you start speaking about real life and stuff. Truth be told, a decade is a long time.

I'm deeply sad to see Angelspit taking a leave, and I wish the best of luck to him. I'm a long time member/lurker and it's thanks to Angelspit that Celestial Heavens is my home and reference wrt all things might and magic. Again, thank you Angelspit for your efforts, your time and your love that you put in this beautiful site!

Kalah, congratulations!

I couldn't think of anyone else to take over this responsibility, which comes with pride and burden. You're a talented and creative writer, and you know your stuff in might and magic, among other things. I'm sure you'll do great and I'm looking forward to seeing Celestial Heavens thrive in your hands!

Man it is sad that Angelspit has retired, I am very glad the site will continue and be in good hands. It is the only forum I visit on a regular basis; I am sure I will continue to enjoy it.

I may be able to help contribute when Heroes VI is released. The computer that I used to do my previous work for the site has been relocated and repurposed unfortunately.

However, if I have the time, I may put the workbench back together, so to speak, and help out if no one else steps up to the challenge.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I'm not going very far, it's just that I want to enjoy Heroes VI as a regular fan, just like I did with Heroes III twelve years ago. I will hopefully keep writing news, and I also plan to cover Clash of Heroes when (if...) it is released for consoles. I'd also like to revisit Dark Messiah at some point this year, maybe on the Xbox this time.

Every Web site needs a good succession plan and I couldn't dream of a better candidate than Kalah. He's been active on a daily basis since, well, forever. I sleep better now knowing that my baby is in good hands (okay, that last part sounded creepy...).

Thank you for your hard work over all these years Angelspit. Celestial Heavens has always been for me the site of reference for news, specially in the old times when I first started to surf the web in search of information of this great franchise.

It was great to read news in almost a daily basis and find such a great concentration of people, maps, reviews, etc.

And big part of it was thanks to you.

I wish you the best of luck, and hope you can enjoy H6 as you and all of us did with H3

Kalah congrats for you new title and keep up the good work. The bar is set quite high but I'm sure you'll be able to keep it.
