I understood what you've said, I used drawing distance as an example. What you see in terms of depth, may well be manipulated. Let's wait for the actual game before we judge if it's groundbreaking. Heroes isn't the only game that does that, many others publish unrealistic screenshots.

It's obviously taller than any standard screen shot - is anybody still playing on anything that's not 16:9? - but I'm talking about plane height variation in gameplay and implied depth in art design - if there's another game, certainly a TBS game, that does it like this, I haven't seen it.

I mean, unless this is an utter, total fabrication, along with multiple other screens released, one can but assume that the game will look pretty much like we've been shown.
Just a quick note on the formats: These POTDs are cut to fit our layout. The originals can be seen on the Facebook page, if you'd like to store them on your PC or something.

I too disagree with misattributed quoting...Ethric wrote:I disagree.ThunderTitan wrote:Groundbreaking graphics
Because there's no such thing as dev commands allowing them to move the camera in ways we won't be able to in the game (man, that H5 zoom mod was great, wasn't it).LongDarkBlues wrote:I mean, unless this is an utter, total fabrication, along with multiple other screens released, one can but assume that the game will look pretty much like we've been shown.

you guys are ridiculous - it's a mostly-top-down zoomed-out screenshot, how is this not, essentially, what the play camera is going to look like?

What do you think it's going to look like, then, that's not essentially like this?

Look above, i already posted my thoughts.
And relax, even if they're post-processed, they'll look fine, it's always only noticeable when you zoom in and pay very close attention... look at DoW2 screen from the devs that have perfectly smooth everything on the power armour, you never get that in game, but you don't really notice unless you zoom in and compare...
