Will the effects of the same suffixes add up in mm6?

Will the effects of the same suffixes add up in mm6?

Unread postby artwen » 14 Feb 2011, 14:12

In mm6 what if one of my characters equips two rings "of air", will his/her air magic be more powerful than wearing just one ring? And what if he/she equips a ring "of air" plus an amulet "of air" - or say, two different items with the same suffix - will the same rule apply to this? And what about the suffixes "of regeneration" (regenerate life) and "of mana" (regenerate mana) - will the regeneration speed become faster wearing two? (sorry about my English if my question is not clear)

Hm I am not sure... but I don't think so... if you want to find out download mm6edt36 (Elrond's Might and Magic 6 Editor and change two rings to "of air" and check your Air magic etc.

Yes, hp&sp regen modifiers (if two or more) works as one, such as items "of air" etc. It's concerned to second abilities modifiers (Alchemy, etc) - from all items works only one with max improving skill. But primary skills, hp/sp and, may be, resistance improving items gives effect as sum of all items. So, you can use items "of health" and "of earth" together, its effect to increase hp will be sum of all items.

It always picks the best one you're using. Artifacts do stack with non-artifacts though. Not sure about multiple artifacts.
You'd think Darkmoor was a ghost town, but instead there's plenty of life among the dead.

I dont think a 'Improved spell' ring will stack. Honestly.

e.g., my Archmage with M12 level of Fire Magic casts Torchlight for 12 hours.
Being equipped with ring of Fire Magic, amulet of Fire Magic, or both he casts Torchlight for 18 hours (12*1.5). The same spell duration when artifact amulet known as Morgan is equipped.
But when Morgan equipped along with a ring of Fire Magic Torchlight lasts 27 hours (12*1.5*1.5).
So used togather artifact amulet and ordinary ring grant 125% increase of effectiveness!

Or, you know, you could just right-click on the skill instead of casting spells :P
