Didn't you have to do this in H3?
Ye but oftentimes 5 is greater than 3. which means Heroes 5 came after Heroes 3, which can only mean they could've made the god damn thing evolve and not make a god damn retarded copy in hopes of sucking more money from the fans.....

So you are actually suggesting they should not just copy+paste (and add a few things extra lest you can accuse them of no creativity), but create something themselves?

So how else are you supposed to recruit creatures, go to each individual dwelling?

Heroes 4 let you buy creatures from the town screen by clicking on the part that displayed creature number and growth.

So they should purposefully leave it at buying at individual doweling so it would be original and like in homm1, and hamper your gameplay? Ok....
Well anyway, absurd arguments aside they upgraded it a bit, in homm 5 they added quite a lot functionality, like buy all button(I know that homm4 also had it), convenient way to buy by double click , and some more.
Also this is discussion how much homm6 will suck, but havent seen how sucky buy screen it have, so for now we will just have to suffice with unargumentated bashing.

And I believe both heroes 3 & 4 let you recruit from the kingdom overview screen, the town production screen, or the main town image on the individual dwellings. Other than telepathic computers, I can't see anything more user-friendly :-Þ
