Ubi M&M Customer Survey!

Unread postby Kalah » 13 Nov 2010, 20:57

Ubisoft are currently running a US customer survey regarding M&M: Heroes VI. The survey will be open until Monday November 15th, at 7pm PST.

The survey deals with such matters as what types of game versions you would wish to buy, what your favourite creatures and factions are, which other Heroes games you have played and how you feel about them etc. Please take a moment to answer these simple questions; they may have an impact on the producers. Here's your chance to tell them quickly and simply what you want!

Go here to take the survey:

Took it. I like the fact that it doesn't focus on H5 (although in some cases you can feel the influence) and the fact that I could tell what I think.

No mention of DRM, even in the questions regarding whether or not you plan on purchasing it and digital vs physical media.

I hope this doesn't mean it's a foregone conclusion, because I simply won't buy it no matter how good it turns out if it keeps Ubisoft's current DRM scheme.

It seems their two latest games on steam do not use it, though I think they're both chiefly multiplayer games, and one is a very cheap title.

On the "What games have you played at least 12 hours of in the past 12 months" question, I had to mark 0 boxes -- but it wouldn't let me, saying "You must answer the question." I decided the least dishonest would be to mark Civ 5, since I did buy Civ 4 a couple months ago.

Lol, if that's in the survey I'd better not take it. Otherwise the whole thing will end up one long rant. :P

Same here, though I ended up choosing "Puzzle Quest 2", since I intend to eventually buy it. I rated it based on Puzzle Quest 1 and Puzzle Kingdoms.

Yeah, it's always a good thing to have a "none of the above" box available.

The rant didn't take me too long :D

By the way, are there any plans to release the results of this survey once it's finished?

Now I can only pray that elves WILL appear as faction in Heroes VI...

I've been passive with Heroes for ages, but this survey made me smile and to remember the good old days.

Here's my "unique in Heroes" entry (sorry for the mediocre quick-written English):

the town screen - beautifully drawn, changing as the game proceeds, mood-making music, (better in 2D);

replayability because of the game system, especially the map system: exploring, creatures and objects to encounter (one needs to be able to easily navigate and get an overview of a sizeable portion of the map - not well executed in HV);

hero developing - not too complex, but still interesting

creature characteristics and skills - fixed, not too many minor improvement possibilities you cannot keep account of (like in some RTS games);

believable fantasy universe - a mixture of the myths and legends of the real world < educational aspect of some sort

Soo what did you answer??

Which HoMM have you played?

Heroes II
Heroes III
Heroes IV
Heroes V

How would you rate them?

Heroes II - 6
Heroes III - 5
Heroes IV - 2
Heroes V - 8

I rated them as of today.

What do you like the best about Homm?

The musical score (This one was obvious)
  • The strategic depth
  • I don't remember :dontknow:
The last two I pondered for 15min. Couldn't decide

Which two factions do you like the best?

Since the factions only got a consistent theme in Heroes V, I answered the question solely on that title.
I thought long and hard (20min) and went back and forth a few times, even meddled in Inferno but ultimately, when putting everything together:
  • Necropolis
  • Sylvan
