I got an extra class to teach, bringing me up to almost a full position. Along with the teaching I do two evenings a week, it's a lot of work ... I should be making about $67.000 over the next 12 months, though, and I'm liking that. Gonna buy a new car with it.

Well, we pay about 40 % of it in taxes, so I rarely see all of it. Also, the pay bracket I'm in is because of some 6-9 years of university (and equivalent) education, so it's not like any teacher can go out and earn that much. Most teachers earn less.

Seen to many dubious movies? But how do you propose driving to SE USA? The transatlantic tunnel isn't opened yet.
Funny story about my payrise: it was caused by a general raise for everyone in my particular job with a particular pay. Now, when I accepted this job (which I started in just over a month ago), I demanded slightly more than they offered, and that slightly brought me just within the bracket to get a payrise this time. Greed is good

I was thinking more like Denmark? Come on down, we'll hop on the ferry to Jylland, drop by Milla unexpectedly in Odense and then camp out in Copenhagen until we're suitably drunk. Then we'll fill up the car with high-quality booze and trek through Sweden on the way back north up to our beloved homeland.

Norwegian vikings didn't go to Denmark much to pillage; mostly to the British isles and northern France. Also the Baltic states. And there were no horns on the helmets.
Now, swords. We should definitely bring some of those. And walk around the city centre with them.

Mmmm, drunk driving through Sweden. "Mom, I think I know what I want to be when I grow up!"Kalah wrote:I was thinking more like Denmark? Peace. Love. Penguin.
The thought of Ethric and Kalah carrying swords to market reminds me of a very popular series of "Capitol One" credit card commercials. They depict 'Vikings' shopping and vacationing in the modern world. Very funny clips! I'll see if I can find one and post in the appropriate place.
