Watching Frost/Nixon. Worth the money, especially since the original interview is on the DVD as well. A bit disappointing that the "real-persons" interviews ("I remember where I was" etc.) are portrayed by actors. They could have used the real people and real clips.

Yeah, Asgard is partly tech-based... too bad, but maybe it will show people a New Gods film would work: http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/07/28/com ... iler-thor/

Yeah, but it's such a pity that there's no Don Blake... and what's up with Odin dying... are they out of apples or something?

Inception (here they call it "The Origins") - I went watching it on last Friday.
It's been a long while since I last watched such great movie - and it's not only about effects, but the storyline and direction-timing seemed flawless, a very thrilling movie, gathering momentum. If you don't pay attention on the details, you might not understand much of the movie, but still, very pleasant. If it was to give a score to it, I would give it 10 - and comparing it with that director's last movie "Batman - Dark Knight", I would give the latter 6.
Inception is a must watch movie. It'll take a while you'll find something that good, unless you count eyecandies as Avatar (which I would grade 7 if compared with Inception).

Gah, this is the same thing that's happening with games nowadays too... people are giving out 10's to anything that is simply good... a perfect 10 should only be awarded for something extraordinary, otherwise you'll have people crying bloody murder over God of War 3 only getting a 9.4 or some crap like that...Panda Tar wrote: If it was to give a score to it, I would give it 10 - and comparing it with that director's last movie "Batman - Dark Knight", I would give the latter 6.

Piranha 3D was so Funny! (Not all the jokes were intentional. Most were.) We had a blast. I found the casting to be as funny as anything else.
The movie starts with Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws) sitting in a fishing boat with the radio playing "Show Me the Way to go Home". Jerry O'Connell (Sliders) plays a sleazy soft porn director who goes to a lake crowded with college kids on spring break to take advantage of all the 'free boobies'. Christopher Lloyd (Taxi, Back to the Future) plays the Fish Expert / Scientist who needs to look at the Piranha.
I appreciate these little spoofy things when they occur. During the gratuitous nude girls swimming scene, they played "Flower Duet" from the opera 'Lakme'. (Had to look that up. It is also known as the Ghirardelli chocolate commercial song.) I believe that piece of music had our group laughing more than anything else.
Just FYI - there are LOTS and LOTS of pretty girls in bikinis shaking everything they have for the camera. Several topless shots of very bouncy boobies. And then it's like everyone gets tossed into the piranha blender and gore-afide. FABULOUS! We loved it. Best movie since Snakes on a Plane.

Man, the Expendables had some crappy CGI... it's like they spent all the money on getting that cast and didn't have any left for effects... the film itself was so-so... i wouldn't really recommend it, but it's worth a video rental if you're into the previous work of the actors.
