Ok... I have to ask. How do 5 people fit on a Zebra's back?

Sufficiently small people will fit anywhere..

The zebra could also have around 150 stripes - only on its back.

Yummy. Kickboxing is sexy.

Oddly enough, one of my old boyfriends told me many stories about his days in the US Coast Guard. One was about a small, wiry Norwegian in a Naval uniform sitting at a bar growling "Coast Guard Sucks!" in his direction. My burly friend, bolstered by his buddies and the beer, naturally had to defend the honor of God, Country and Apple pie by asking the offending Seaman to step outside. In the ally, he discovered that the Norseman was a kickboxer who quickly proceeded to hand him his own ass tied up with a bow. As my old friend lay on the pavement, the smaller yet faster man stood over him asking, "What did you say?" He wiped the blood from his mouth and answered "Coast Guard SUCKS!" and bought the winner a beer.

I'm thinking about a beer with dinner tonight. Might help ease the pain in my sore shoulder.

The family & friends 4th of July (Independence Day) celebration went very well. The 'buffet table' looked like an Atkins diet. There was meat, meat and more meat. I tried to round that out with a very large green salad with Craisins, mandarin oranges and nuts plus the more traditional baked beans and potato salad. All forms of vegetable matter were blatantly ignored in favor of beef, pork and chicken of many varieties from the grill. Followed by home made ice cream, apple pie and cupcakes. It's a darned good thing that Holiday foods have no calories.

There were enough fire works to light up the world. Again, we seemed to have a large number of the big exploding 'flowers' with bad lifting charges. Either that or the boys are bad about putting the smaller balls in the bigger tubes. Many explosions went off so low to the ground that the sparks were raining down on us and the ground before they went out. We kept laughing that we like our fireworks 'up close and personal' as it makes them look larger. We're also stingy. We don't want to share our fireworks display with the neighbors, so we keep them all below the tree line. I know my husband tossed at least one of those 'ball' charges in the trash can right next to a couple of our friends just to watch them jump out of their skins. It does make life more fun when you're running and screaming.

Don't worry. No one was seriously injured. Gary got a nasty burn on his hand when one of those 'spark showers' actually struck him. I swear that Kevin's hair was on fire as his head was smoking quite a lot. However, the most screaming occurred when Mary was spraying Kevin down with Off bug repellent and found an open scratch from his earlier yard work. That sent him running, jumping and screaming bloody murder. Guess it "stung a might."

All in all, it was a very good night.

Oh Yes! It's an American tradition to celebrate the birth of our nation by trying to blow up small chunks of it... and each other.
