Heroes V Release Dates Announced

The <a href="/http://www.ubi.com/UK/Games/Info.aspx?pId=3449">UK Ubisoft site</a> now has the Heroes V release date listed as May 19, 2006. Information on the <a href="/http://www.ubi.com/US/Games/Info.aspx?pId=4174">US site</a> is more vague, giving the date simply as May 2006.

They're launching it 12 days before my birthday, but seeing that I will definitely not buy H5 so soon, it doesn't really matter that much.

I think the May 19th is a very early release date. It is very possible that the game won't be completely finished until then, and if they choose to launch it, we will get a very flawed game. We don't want a flawed game ! Hell no ! We have to put more pressure on Ubisoft once again ! They must delay the game with at least two more months ! I am willing to wait more time. After all, the quality does matter.

I've been as critical as the next guy when it came to some of the flaws we saw in the open beta, but in defense of Ubi & Nival have any of us seen what they have done in the 3 months since that beta was released. They could have made huge strides and improvements in that time so it would be unfair to automatically say it couldn't possibly be ready without actually seeing it first.

I don't think we'll have a demo. Given the mid-May release date it's too late for a demo by now.

I expect they will release a demo but quite probably not until just before or after the official release (or at the same time). Or possibly, if they really don't have time, they might not work on the demo until after the release, so then it could come a month or two later. I'm pretty sure they *will* go ahead and make a demo, however, at some point.

"This item will be released on May 16, 2006"
