Quick update:
Work on the Sighisoara front continues! Campaign I map IV has been updated to version 1.2 and is currently being tested by yours truly. The map sure feels now much more worthy of a campaign finale than previously seen.
Here's information taken from the ReadMe:
Version 1.1 changelog
-relocated and updated quite a many Events to better highlight the story
-removed a pile of gems that was guarded by 400 Sharpshooters
-added a couple of more high level enemy heroes
-Blue starts now with four cities instead of two
(there are a total of 6 Dungeons towns available on the map)
-removed some Quests and altered others for better balance
-lessened the amount of resource piles near Red's starting city
-heavily toned down Red's starting city (no Colossus anymore, sorry guys!)
-removed a windmill and a water wheel near Red's starting area
-removed three Magic Wells in total, two of which were in "Red's territory"
-strengthened stacks of wandering monsters
(especially those Red is likely to fight during the early game)
-added some mines for Blue's benefit
-named a couple of previously unnamed towns
-removed a naga bank from Red's starting area
-removed and/or relocated some of the luck and morale booster "buildings"
such as the Rally Flag and the Faerie Ring
-removed extra War machine factories and other "bonus buildings"
where I considered it necessary
-removed extra booster structures such as the Garden of Knowledge
where deemed necessary to do so
-Castle player (Red) can now hire heroes only from his/hers own faction
-added more "talking" units and checked that they are on "Savage" mode
(will never join the player but will always fight him/her)
-boosted enemy garrisons
-improved the map's graphical side
-removed some major typos that were encountered
-added some more resources and artifacts into the "enemy territory"
-removed two "pre-placed" boats from the map
-removed some floating wood and extra shipwrecks
-and some additional changes I already forgot to ever have made
Version 1.2 changelog
-added a new Blue Hero (Simon the Warlock)
-Blue starts now with one more city, the Control Center
-graphical changes
-more mines and resources available to the Blue player
-strengthened the Hero King Brejk (better stats and spells)
-added one extra underground tunnel
-Blue has now better chance to reach Red's main city by teleport
(lessened the amount of its Black Dragon guardians by 50%)
-added a Quest guard which guards a lake near one of Blue's garrisons
-some minor story events and changes
(removed reference to the Power of the Dragon Father artefact)

Testing is going swiftly and with style. I'm quite convinced that we should release the updated Campaign I by the end of the current week. On a side note, I have now completed moving into a new house which means that work on Sighisoara II will continue with full speed starting this evening.

Update 25th of February 2010
I've got great news to all you fellow Heroes 3 fans out there, especially those of you who have followed our Sighisoara World Project and are impatiently waiting to hear a news bit from the Team. Well, the word on the Rojacian realm is that the rebelling Sea Dogs are being suppressed by the central government army which is at the same time making preparations to repell the expected Undead invasion coming from the North, from the gloomy Kingdom of Xerphef ruled by Lich King Servilius, also known as the Menace.
Here's the latest ReadMe (to an unofficial pre-demo version) for the first map of the second Sighisoara campaign. The scenario in question is called the "Green Grass of Home", while the Second Sighisoara Campaign itself goes by the name "The Undead of Xerphef".

Yes, the Pirate who currently rules the southern pirate islands is indeed called Morgan Tentaclus, the very same pirate prince whose ships were said to terrorize the coasts of Gulael in "The Final Truth". Roger is a former King of Rojaice who was a well-known outdoors sports man who particularly favoured the noble art of sailing. One of his descendants, also a King of Rojaice himself, named the archipelago (where the pirates have later settled) in his honor.

First Pirate Lords in-game screenshot
I remember some of you being a bit disappointed due to the lack of screenshots from the first Sighisoara campaign, so here's one from the second campaign, The Undead of Xerphef. This screenshot is the very first in-game pic ever taken from the second map of the second campain, Pirate Lords. Remember that it comes from a Demo version dated March 11th. The stuff presented here is by no means the final version.

Second screenshot from Camp 2 Map 2
Here are two major characters from the group of heroes whose adventures the second Sighisoara campaign chronicles. As was the case before, the screenshot here comes from a demo version, and as such is of course subject to change. We, the Sighisoara Team, nevertheless do hope that you enjoy viewing the screenshot.

Sighisoara II version 0.55 testing sessions
Hello fellow Heroes fans,
It's been 4 long weeks since the Team posted in this thread about their recent doings or for that matter, concerning anything at all. Well, you've probably all been wondering if the Sighisoara Team have abondoned their project altogether. Are the guys dead, perhaps? What's the latest news, you may ask. Is the fire in their hearts out? No. We're not Dead and Buried. Not just yet, anyway.
We've got great news for you. The campaign has been updated to version 0.55 which translates to us as 55% of the total work being finished with honour. Two maps out of the planned four are being tested as we speak. The main part of the testing has so far been the responsibility of the duo Yurian Stonebow-Koni. We have recently contacted and re-recruited one of our previous map testers ("Prime Suspect"), dahlgren17, to help out with the hard map testing sessions that are currently reaching an all-time high for what is still a "mere" mid-phase campaign work-in-progress.
More on this to come. Don't change the channel.

Yurian has sent me the documentation to look over for spelling, grammar and the like. And I will say this much: The story is more riveting than the first. The team is doing an outstanding job with wording, and you should find hardly any mistakes when reading it while you play. They have made great strides in removing errors for this installment. I am confident that when MoS II is released, and you have it in your maps folder, you will not be disappointed.

Information about MoS II maps 3 and 4
Update, 29th of April 2010
Hello everybody,
We're now on the verge of beginning the map making sessions for maps III and IV of the Second Sighisoara campaign. Here's some information concerning the planned maps. Please remember that this news bit comes from an early April planning sessions which means that the stuff mentioned here is of course subject to change. No guarantees whatsoever are or can be given due to the very nature of the demo like presentation itself.
With this said, let's have a small preview of the planned parts 3 and 4.
Scenario 3: In the name of the King
Map size: it's likely that the map will be of size L (M is also possible)
Human player: Green/Rampart/Rojaice (or alternatively, Xerphef)
Main Heroes: Macro the Druid and Olaf Hammer the Barbarian mercenary
Opponents: Pink/Necromancers of Xerphef,
Rojacian rebel factions Purple/Tan
(Or alternatively Rojacian government's forces/Green)
My vision for the storyline of map III:
In map 3, the way I see it, we will see the Necromancer Sepultun and
his ally the Vampiress Nagraelle. They are the ones who lead the second wave of the Necro invasion of Rojaice. (You may remember these Necro Heroes from the Sighisoara standalone scenario called Prime Suspect)
Meanwhile the cultists of Rojaice work to complete their project to revive the evil king of Aurolas, Gloomshade the Greedy.
Mission object:
Pink/Xerphef: If the player aids Xerphef in map III, then the objective of the map would be to raise as many skeletons/skeleton warriors as possible from the unfortunate and in-quarrelling general populace of Rojaice. The King of Xerphef plans to make Rojaice yield as much land as possible for his Kingdom of the Dead, where day will become night, and the land as quiet as the grave. Defeat all enemies. Raise X amount of Skeletons.
Green/Rojacian Central Government's First Field Army:
Defeat all enemies. The player must fight the massive Necro invasion that is led by Nagraelle and Sepultun and other Undead generals from Xerphef.
He/she must also defeat all Rojacian rebel factions.
Scenario 4: The Aftermath
Map size: M or L
Human player: Green, Roayl forces of Rojaice
Main Heroes: Macro, commander of the Royal Pegasi Guard, Olaf Hammer, the Mercenary Captain, some others
Opponents: Tan (Heretics of Rojaice), Sepultun and his undead troops
under the Pink banner of Xerphef
My vision for the storyline of map IV:
Map four shall see the Rojacian central government's units fully in control of the Pirate Islands and the rebel leaders defeated once and for all after their last keep surrenders. Having failed with the invasion of Rojaice, the Necromancer Sepultun plans one final assault with his remaining forces while the Rojacian Heretics work in their own secret city to return
their master Gloomshade from beyond the grave. The power of Zelas has still not left Servilius, the Undead Monarch of Xerphef but as he is weakened for the time being, no new invasion can be launched after the first one grounds to a halt. Expect major changes to take place here if we, the Team, decide to follow the "Xerphef storyline" of map III.
Please feel free to comment - it's much appreciated.
On a side note... The Team is looking for additional map testers for the half finished campaign that currently has 0.55 as the version number.
With Heroic greetings,
Yurian
* please note that "my vision" means same as my suggestion for the basic storyline. It's still being discussed as of April 29th 2010.
