Aliens vs Predator...

Unread postby ThunderTitan » 09 Dec 2009, 08:21

... gets Bishop to play himself: http://chud.com/articles/articles/21780 ... Page1.html

I was hoping for the robot version, but this works too.

And this series needed to come back so bad after the movies sucked so much...

As much as I almost jump out from my chair after seeing this, the trailers I feel much like a disappointment. The graphics are... generic, to say the least... :disagree:

When where the graphics of an AvP game not generic?! It was always the 3 races that where the stuff everyone raved about...

No, we're in 2009 when ~4 year old consoles are king... count yourself lucky.

It's all about the atmosphere (especially for games like AvP). I'd rather have generic graphics with great atmosphere than great graphics with sucky atmosphere (like in FarCry).

I'm now more than convinced that they should make it a third person shooter... or at least to have option about it.

There's only so many ways you can make a FPS campaign about the Marine anyway, and getting separated from the rest is a necessity...

The Alien will obviously also start out by bursting out of someone's chest and then feeding enough to grow... and the Predator will be hunting ppl for honour, it wouldn't be AvP without it.

So, the demo is out, did somebody played? I did like couple of hours, only Marine and Alien, the Predator character was locked for me for unknown reason.
Was OK, but the only one level I had enough of like quick (guess the Quake II arena days are over :( ).
I couldn't only get how to do "finishers". Some of the guys was doing these on me with Preds and Xenomorps. Not that it is something unseen, but sure helps not to loose life. Also I am confused with the controls a bit, I guess I am missing some stuff. I hate it the Alien does not "hit" like the previous part, thus you have to be more precise, an the Predator is, once again, overpowered. I hate this prick. :disagree:

Have to notice the game started to crash like in the KB: AP case, but installed the driver I had before (I guess?) and it runs normal now. My brother says this may be of the supply.
