Mine would be sylvan i like their creatures and theme best, with the druid and green dragon being the exceptions. Long live unicorns and treants. It would be dungeon if it werent for all the elves I miss the mismatched fun of the dungeons of old.

My favourite hero would have to be Wyngal his starting init boost is great for taking out ranged troops and casters.

hard to pick a favorite faction, I tend to change faction after each game (I dislike academy though) anyways:

fav faction: fortess, nice looking town and units
fav hero: grok or haggash (can't choose)

Sylvan...I don't care if people say H5 is mediocre or bad... it hit the spot for me

I think the Elves are my fav as well. I just don't like most of the new units that much. Like the Inferno for example. Why have the horned demon and then the hell hound? They're too similar.

I miss the medusas and beholers in the dungeon as well.

All too true! It certainly has nowhere near the staying power that H3 had. Go back to a nice D2 world, with a great random map generator and I think people would be happier, over all.

I think the Necros would do better without a dragon at all. Beef up the vampire to level 6 and the lich to 7. They're too wimpy now, I think.

I think the centaur is not a good pick for lvl2 creature either. I mean, 6 hit points on a centaur?? ..the same as a sprite??

In HoMM V ( most to least ) : I like Sylvan, Academy, Haven, Barbarian, and Necropolis
Dungeon : prefer old HoMM II one
I Miss : Fortress in HoMM III
I wish the better Inferno atmosphere in HoMM VI than in V and III

I dont like HoMM V Dwarf race ( too many dwarf soldiers ) altough I like the rune magic

Haven,Dougal easy exp point on the begging due to crossbowman,but still I guess first time they made a Heaven a more interesting and beautiful race to play.
