No heroes available... all busy drinking, perhaps. What particularly impresses me is the barkeep's intimate knowledge of siege warfare. Thanks to Yurian.

Sometimes. There is a WoG script to give arrow towers experience.Coldy wrote:Is that tip actually true?
@thundertitan: The tip indicates a mod (possibly WoG, as I state above), but the no heroes available can occur if all unhired heroes have been prohibited in the editor. (I just ran a test to be certain)

Heroes in the Tavern
"No hero available" is the sad but humorous result of what happens when you try to enter the Tavern but there are no Heroes left there to recruite from. This screenshot comes from another long test game of my recently published "American Civil War (Union)". Uncharacteristically, I played the map using the WoG platform, hence the Tavern text seen on the backround.
Please note that my H3 maps are meant to be played on the good 'ol SoD (or RoE/AB) due to the fact that they were made using the SoD map editor. Furthermore, I must notice the player that I haven't really tested the map on the WoG platform, nor have I balanced out my H3 maps for the said fan add-on.
The very fact that this screenshot stems indeed from a WoG game is due to me experiencing problems with one of my H3 Complete CDs which forced me to use the "stripped down version" of WoG (all WoG features disabled), in other words using it basicly as a no-cd version of SoD/H3 Complete.

Don't worry if things are going badly today. They will be much worse tomorrow.
Heroes in the Tavern
why not just get a modified exe from GameCopyWorld that removes the CD check?

Which is what i meant... with the implication that the no hero thing might be a bug caused by the mod etc.Qurqirish Dragon wrote: @thundertitan: The tip indicates a mod (possibly WoG, as I state above)

I realized that, which is why my full comment noted that the "no heores available" was *NOT* due to a mod, only the tavern text was.ThunderTitan wrote:Which is what i meant... with the implication that the no hero thing might be a bug caused by the mod etc.Qurqirish Dragon wrote: @thundertitan: The tip indicates a mod (possibly WoG, as I state above)
