VIDEO.VID - how to avoid the launch?

I need a command that disables the launch of the prologue video of Heroes 3. I am so tired of watching it again and again whenever i paste Heroes 3 in some other directory...

First i just thought that i should simply remove the VIDEO.VID - but game would not start. So now i think that should create a CFG.INI file in Heroes3/Config folder with a custom CMD to disable the damned movie..

Someone can help?

Long time solved.

If you're using WoG replace azvs.smk with blank smk file, this one will do nicely.

If you're not using WoG it will be another file to replace ..but it's so long that I don't remember which one it was.

I am using Heroes 3 Complete Pol. Take your time and remember..

No way. All of my files are already thoroughly modified.

But you can track it yourself, just discover when the original intro video is stored and replace it. Use resedit for that.

At least to me it seems that once replaced it's not shown in resedit any longer.

Or perhaps someone else will help.

Well, there are sites, where you can get cracks for any games, although it would be nice for CL to host one ".exe" for any Heroes game


The Heroes3.vid file is so big, that with it the game does not fit in a single 699 MB CD unless you buy a 860 MB CD.
