Looks fancy. The Worgen intrigue me, but I'm sorry about the old zones. Hope the redesigned ones will be good.

And some of the new race/class combinations say goodbye to the lore.

Ha, WoW has been pissing on lore from almost the get go... with BC taking a massive dump on it for no real reason...

Yeah, that too. Right now I can only think of Night Elf mages.

What other oddities are there?

Tauren Paladins, Gnome Priests, to name 2. It sure looks good, and I think they did this to update the grapghics a little more. They looked kinda out dated. They also did it to make the flying mount thing possible, in the old world setup, it could not be done because it wasn't build for flying, so it would have been weird flying around and textures missing/flickering...
You can either agree with me, or be wrong...

What darknessfood mentioned, also undead hunters (unless they will have to raise their beasts from the corpses), troll druid (they are shamanistic, not nature loving, like nelves or tauren)

@TT: oh, there was a reason - happy kids. In no other game you can /y in town:"LOLOLOL I pwned <insert any name of lore important person like Illidan>, I r |337 u nubs!!1!eleventyoneone!"

They have sacrificed lore for money.

But why can't a Tauren be a Paladin?

Also, are there any realms free of kids like that?

Because paladins (Humans, Dwarves, Draenei) believe in Holy Light, something which Taurens don't worship (they have the Earthmother). Also the Blood Elves can have paladins because they have one captured Naaru (I think his name is M'uru, but I can be wrong) and from him they channel Light's power.

And the kid-free realms - there is no kid-free realm, unless zou create your own private server and invite only people who you know (but that will be violating Blizzard's Terms of Service and EULA).

Dude, the Naaru themselves where a blood retcon...

And killing Illidan is nothing, that can easily be ignored lore wise as simply defeating him etc.

Now retconing How the Eredar and Sargeras got to know eachother when it was pretty easy to just say that the Draenei split off the Eredar before that was incredibly stupid.

Personally, I can't wait to play a Tauren Priest or Palladin. Might even roll a stink'n Alli just to be a werewolf.

Hey, don't pick on the Alliance... Well ok, you can pick on the Night Elves all you want, I hate their guts too, but the poor space goats and the gnomes...

A Holy Cow might prove fun though

My main is already a Tauren Shaman. I'm used to casting. Just got my duel spec to Heal... so I'm not 100% sure I want to do another healer... but I probably will just for grins. I just keep thinking that a huge Holy Cow would be the funniest thing ever.
