Boss of Champions

Unread postby Kalah » 28 Jul 2009, 15:33

Boss has 5000 HP, you have 1. You must guess his moves and place mines accordingly. He moves by charging, so he always takes the longest way; you have to keep him from reaching you, while placing mines. When the champion walks on 30 mines, he dies. Thanks to Salamandre.

Hmm, interesting concept :) Though the moves shouldn't be hard to guess, it's the way to keep him away from your unit is hard...

You can't keep him away. He has speed =20, so basically he can reach you anytime. The mines and quick sands are placed randomly when you cast. You are also limited at 230 mana so you can't cast ad eternam. if you cast many quick sands you are safe but then there is no more place for mines. have to find the right way. This quest is hard even for me who created it.

Hmm... don't mines stop the unit that gets blasted by them? Or is that another HoMM?

They don't. That's one of the reasons why Tower towns are cool - if a ground-based enemy that is standing in front of the gates decides to go in through a hole in the wall, it will walk on each and every mine there is, which is almost guaranteed death.
