TCC Challenge

Here's the 'Winning Screen' from Zedd over at TELPS. This is a legitimate, no cheat, 'Iron Man' result after playing The Chaos Conspiracy in Adventurer Mode.

Image

Here are some of the details;

Total time: 9 months 3 days Score: 132, 739
Party Level: Avenger, Stalker, Exorcist, Doom Knight all level 130
Total XP Earned (Highest character): 8, 463, 667 (all were within 1000 XP of that figure)
All Quests (including the obelisk quest) completed.
Never killed or hurt even one peasant in the entire game
Maintained a Saintly Rep throughout the game

At the end of his game 'not a (evil) creature was stirring, not even a mouse' throughout the entire land of Nimradur, including all 'dungeons'.!!

Can anyone 'beat' this score without the use of a character/game editor or other 'cheats'?

It's a Wizardry 8 expression. Simply means no full party resurrection

In other words Dead Party=Game Over and restart from scratch.

Also no saves or reloads allowed except when exiting the game and then that save is deleted upon rentry into the game.

In Wizardry, the autosave is disabled and the saved game is deleted by the system upon rentry into the game, if playing in "Iron Man" mode.

Since you can't do that in MM6, you have to manually delete the Saved Game and refrain from ever using the Autosave in order to have a true "Iron Man" game.

It's tough, but doable if you are careful and thoroughly think your strategy through before entering any area or dungeon.

NOTE: I, personally, would not attempt this type of play (Iron Man) in either the Warrior or MMF modes.

Wow!
That's very impressive! I doubt anyone will overtake that high score anytime soon.

I agree. I designed the main storyline and programmed this game, and I doubt that I could do as well as Zedd.

This is indeed a challenge. Any takers?

Well as it says he saved Enroth and not Nimradur, it is obviously a fake and I cannot consider it authentic. :disagree:

Ok I am kidding, hopefully that will be changed in the final release.

Hmm...maybe I am totally wrong to this(and sorry
if I am), but is it possible to train 4 chars at 130 level
at 9 months? To make it more clear, each trainning
to level up one char take some in-game days. At a
save I have i tested and from level 34 to 35 was
needed 8 days(6 Novemeber to 14 November was
my test). Same for each char(8 * 4 chars total.).
Iirc each level up takes diffirent duration(lower levels
i think need fewer days.) But even if each level
was only 1 day we would have 130(levels) * 4 (chars)
= 520 days (17+ months). So, what I understant wrong?
Is a way to level up without losing so many days and I
din't know it? Or the "time saving Enroth..." starts to count
from a later part of the game? ;|

I know if you go to the trainer and level up several time during one visit the amount of time past is the same or about the same as going up one level. If you complete the 1,000,000 xp quest you will gain several levels and not see much game time pass.

Yes,if you train like 15-20 levels at once you'd be able to complete it in 9 months
I belonged, though, to different type of players - those who prefer wait for 2 years respawn or two , a habit from MM7, where you can get new relics in alchemist laboratory, for this man trains party almost every available level.
Congratz ,Zedd, very impressive .

I could keep it 'Iron Man' to the second teleporter at Ellsia. Now playing normally.

Don't feel too bad, GrayFace. That little ambush after the teleportal has killed many a party!

Good luck and have fun!
