Ubi and 3DO incompatibility issues

Recently many people have complained that they cannot install 3DO version of expansions or patches over Ubisofts standart Heroes IV. "Original install not found" type of errror. I have not seen a working solution to it yet and wonder now:

1. Has anyone contacted Ubi support and what answer (if any) did they give?

2. Does anyone know how do solve the problem?

If it is an unsoluble problem, we could perhaps post a warning on CH news site to help fellow fans.

Hello

The re-release is a different software version and older expansions
will not work with the newer update. It maybe possible that the expansion
packs for the new version will be released however we do not have any
confirmation on this at this time.
