ImageBot is not compatible with latest version of FF 3.0.7 and author's site disappeared either. Mooo!

I'm using Portable Firefox 2, so much faster than 3, so much less memory wasted... (using it from my laptop with just 256 MB, it makes a huge difference)
All humans do is to go to a place, bountiful of nature, and live there. Then the human multiplies and sucks all the wonders there. They move to the next. There is one thing that works the same way as that: a virus.
And lo and behold, the promise was that ff3 will be more memory effective!
I never measured it, using k-meleon which is even better. But being on the same core, both can be tweaked from snail to rocket camel. Think same goes for ff3

Well I have seen a lot of graphs and reports made by others which showed that FF3 is a lot faster and memory effective than FF2. Weird Borsuc, maybe bad config for FF3?
No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.
Mine as well. Sometimes it reaches 120 MB in that chart...
I miss the download status bar. Couldn't find one for Firefox 3. I hate having that window popping up whenever I download anything, anything – since a simple image to a zip file.

Hmm could it be because I disabled disk caching completely and only work with temporary profiles? (cause it's supposed to be portable, so I made a .cmd file to copy my profile to the TEMP directory and launch Firefox with it, then cleanup )Pol wrote:And lo and behold, the promise was that ff3 will be more memory effective!
But memory wise, FF3 uses 40MB or so when launched, FF2 uses like 10 at most at launch (I've seen even instances with just 3MB sometimes )
Also my addons are global (I put them in global -- since it's "portable" firefox, didn't feel like copying them uselessly everytime ), not sure if that makes any difference.
@Ash: not sure how "objective" those charts are, but it definitely is a lot slower (FF3 I mean). Maybe not in JavaScript (which is 90% disabled anyway cause of NoScript addon), but definitely in loading pages it's a lot slower. It's also unstable in BartPE and thus I did not take the time to make it portable

Web browsers
According to the latest numbers from StatCounter Global Stats, Firefox has passed Explorer as the leading web browser in Europe. It is the first time Explorer has lost the lead on such a large continent. Apparently, the main reason why this is happening, is that Chrome is taking users away from Explorer.

Back to the original topic:
- AdBlock Plus, of course. But I am aware that ads are what runs many websites, thus I only block what is really annoying. For example, the incredibly annoying flashing "YOU WON!!!" ads, who designed them?!
- Fierr. It's an extremely handy addon - it reloads the page automatically every few seconds when connection times out. No more mashing on F4! And it even lets me navigate things like forums gone horribly slow while nobody else can do it.
- FireFTP. Because having an FTP client in a browser makes sense.
- Restart Extension. It allows me to restart the browser or exit keeping tabs in a few simple clicks. Very handy for countering all those memory leaks.
