WOG newly monsters and possible towns for those who knows

Many people of MM forum already knows mine works...I've decide to test my skills and do something for the Heroes team. Idea is to create new custom town with all new buildings and creatures as I do for MM games. You know it is rather difficult to work with DEF format but soon I will study it too.

For now I have created 2 sets of 1 monster - normal and upgraded one. It is not a DEF file but will be soon.

The town which this monster inhabits called "Valley". I hope it will appear as soon as possible.

You are really talented :tsup:
A problem that you might have is to find the background of your town(s), but I believe that if you show more work like this you could enter either on CoreWoG(WoG3.59) or HotA.

Btw, in rainbow Drake there is a moment where a small blue square appears in the left top corner.

Remenber that there are already dark elves in Jadame ;)

In Jadame are dark elves...
But I'm working with Drow dark elves, black ones. Some kind of a stereotip of the Spider Queen Lolth etc. Even in Heroes V - there are another ind of the dark elves...with gray skin?

So mine Drow dark elves will be differ from Jadame and Heroes V.

P.S. There are not enough information to do 7 levels of creatures based upon Jadame's elves :tired:

Are you doing this by yourself Vladimir? If so, I hope your super generic (dark elves? seriously?) town project doesn't face the same fate as the other 3 billion other new Heroes III towns (with the only one I cared about being an attempt to recreate the Forge, but there was also an egyptian style town and one that was literally a complete rip-off of Warcraft III's Night Elves).

While I think that it would be better served helping the Horn of the Abyss guys in their project, I wish you luck in your endeavor.

P.S. As a MM monsters I do them myself. If there will be real troubles with creation of new castle...there is always a possibility to make a wog-script and replace Dungeon with drow-city. If you wish - turn it on and play as a drow...if you do not - turn it off and play simple dungeon.

BTW: Here is city developments...just an early stage...almost nothing is there...

And the town looks good, really decent for being just the beggining...
An option of replacing would be a good option till VCMI is finished, I agree.

Vladimir, your efforts with creatures are amazing.

Now, I have a suggestion: would you mind to make a short guide on how to make the defs, bitmap icons, in short, how to install and play with new creatures. There are a lot of unfinished creatures out but no one knows how to get them in the game.

There are many ways how to edit and import files inside Heroes 3.

Mainly it depends on - for what porposes you wish that monster.
Now there is one very comfortable tool that allow easy creations of DEF files with shadows, easy animation layers and selection frames but I do not how it is called exactly.

If people will be really interested in such information - I can do a kind of tutorial later.

My personal concern is how to make the small icons and such. I have all the defs required from Darkloke (you may know him) but I need the small bitmap icons and the in battle icons. And such tutorial does not exist. Are you interested in creating one?

The work is finish, but all people who proposed to do the icons simply dissipated, so I am waiting...I have the time to do the work myself, but no tutorial available, anywhere.

Maybe the beholder it's too big, imo, and the angle too. But they are undoubtedly good.
