All I had to do was to log in at one of the biggest web chat rooms in Finland (hosted by a local radio station based in Helsinki), use my regular handle, hang in there just talking about this&that while not pretending to be something other than my real world self. She appeared, we had series of long conversations, got into to a looooong conversation over the phone (several nights in a row) and then decided we should meet in person. We did so, with me travelling 400 kilometres just to see her and not knowing what kind of a meeting it was going to be.
Well, it all worked out really nice, we started dating, sending text messages via mobile phone, letters and email. Got engaged on the second anniversary of our first meeting online, moved into together six months later, and finally in June 2006 got married in a small, but quite charming medieval church in my native county. That's about it. This summer it'll be 9 years together and three years of marriage. Not a bad score if you ask me.
I certainly consider myself to be a lucky man and with her life really feels something, really is something more. A happy match and all thanks to the advent of the internet age. No tricks, no hypnotism, no Astral, just good ol' forces of destiny at play. Marriage, I believe, is much like planting a seed of, let's say, apple tree. You need to find a good foundation, rich soil to build on, take care of the growing tree and eventually you'll have invested in a big tree that produces splendid harvest. Such a nice analogy, don't you agree?

Don't worry if things are going badly today. They will be much worse tomorrow.
That's a really nice story.Yurian Stonebow wrote: Well, it all worked out really nice, we started dating, sending text messages via mobile phone, letters and email. Hopefully, something similar will happen to my cousin pretty soon.
