one kahn one clan -- way to teal castle?

Unread postby vampireprince » 25 Mar 2009, 00:25

I have taken the green castle. I have the talisman, I can summon a ship at the shore, all of that no problem.

However I can't find any way to get to teal castle. The only sea route I haven't explored on the map which would seem to be the one that leads to the teal castle is blocked by rocks and I can't get through.

Is there something I have missed?

You could have a look into the Walkthrough here.

"When you are ready for the final battle, move Kujin to the shore at (11). You have to be "in the water" to summon a boat (you can still buy the Talisman in the Green town - get the level-4 one). Sail straight to (12)."

Hi Koni,

Thanks for your reply.

I consulted the walkthrough and so far as I know am doing everything right yet still can't find any way to access the eastern part of the ocean where I need to sail to get to the teal castle.

I've got the talisman, have no problem summoning a ship at the shore (11)... But so far as I can see the only way to get to the teal castle (12) is across a rocky area of the sea, which the game will not allow me to cross.

Maddening!

Unfortunately I can't seem to get the console to work either (perhaps because I'm on Vista 64) so I am not sure how to move past this mission right now and continue the campaign.

If this is what I think it is, "behind" one of the other castles (possibly the last one you have conquered ;) ) is a way going into the sea. You have to go as deeper "in the sea" as you can and to summon a boat from there. I think this castle was somewhere up in right or middle to the right on the map (North up).

Thanks parcaleste. At first I did not quite know what you meant, but then I discovered there is a little area behind the castle where you can indeed go into the water and summon a boat! I'm set to sail now -- at last!

God yeah, I remember that map. It was a real pain without Logistics (never popped up untill the very end lol!). Luckily, I had Triple Flaming!

I'm on the same map as well. Everytime I want to explore something, the teal player shows up with yet ANOTHER army. Where does he get that )24 blood eye cyclopses for instance). Nearly every week!

Yes, it's insane.

I let myself be distracted by the Teal player's antics for too long.

The trick here is, once you have a pretty good army, get a ship, go north, and seize the green castle as soon as possible.

Haven't been able to do that yet. Teal keeps comming in when I'm prepaired for a bit. I try to keep the losses low by playing on defence in castle. (fire things next to goblins, and let them cast chain lightning, cycploses trowing goblins, and keep spamming good morale). After that, building army up, and the same routine over and over again...

Luckily it's the DUMB AI, so I usually retreat to my nearest town, which has a Castle... and lure the enemy to it. Centaur Marauders + Ammo Cart + Call for Blood does the rest.

darknessfood,

are you trying to keep both castles? that could be part of the problem. originally i took both castles and tried to keep both, and found this was holding me back.

the only way to deal with teal's attacks and the subsequent devastation is to give up the one castle (the one closer to the place where teal comes in) and just cultivate the the lower castle for awhile, building a fairly decent army, then setting sail.

Teal attacks the top castle regularly, but takes longer to make his way to the lower castle.

Yeah, I want to keep both castles. I should just keep the one I start with. Build up there, and go to the Teal player?

Yes, just keep the first castle for now and build it up. Don't worry about teal at all right now, because you won't actually be able to defeat him until the end of the game.
You want to get a good army, build a ship, and go north and take the green castle.

Hi all I am new to the site and as I posed in the walkthru, it is quite amazing. I still cannot find the place to summon a ship near the (formerly) green castle. Can you tell me what it is near according to the map legends?

I don't/ can't play it on anything but easy and I feel so silly asking this. But hey at least I am a gaming granny! Thanks for helping me out!

Again, kudos for a very nice site!
