Actually, no. It's no thriller, to be sure, but there's plenty of action. Music score too. Fancy watching some killer whales attacking a gray whale calf?

Isn't that that old show that ran on TV a couple of years back? It was a nature show, insanely beautiful pictures and all the best from the seven seas?

Yesterday, the lady and I watched Bride Wars. It's not a great movie, just fun to watch, nothing more. It's allright...

Watched Quantum of Solace on Blu-Ray yesterday. Craig is a good Bond, but he's missing one thing: the little smirk Connery had. Craig hardly ever smiles. Other than that, he's great.

It did jump a bit much; both between cuts and locations. Never really got that thriller-plot thing, giving the viewer time to wonder what's going on before being shown the solution.

When he talks in the sort of colloseum. You get some deep story stuff, and all of a sudden an action sequence again. There wasn't really a story in this one...

No, the director doesn't really let the story develop between the action sequences, that's true.

Great shots, though; they use a lot of those cameras that are mounted down and move along with objects... cars, falling stairs etc.. And I'm happy - nay, delighted - that the "exploding car" syndrome is gone from the Bond movies.

The problem with Quantum of Solace is the less than world shattering threat posed by this weenie supervillain (and Elvis his sidekick). The dastardly plot is what? To control the price of 60% of the water in Bolivia. I guess it's the off season for MI6.

Yeah, but the "big" plot isn't over, I think. Just like SPECTRE was the organization Bond fought with for several films in the Connery era, I'm thinking he'll fight against this big organization they don't know much about for some time yet.

Bought "the Incredible Iron Man" yesterday. It's the old school animated style, in a movie form. Pretty darn good, especialy when it just cost €5. All together, NICE!!!

Me and the wife are planning to go to movies in the near future, perhaps this weekend, to see Me and Marley. It's about a Labby dog causing all kinds of havoc in the home of a young couple. Sounds credible enough

All we now have to do is to wait for her to finish the book first.

I watched Quantum of Solace tonight and, while I dig Craig as Bond, I thought the movie was an incoherent mess. A big step down from Casino Royale, IMHO.
