The "crusading" unit of castle from Heroes III is the one that gets my vote. It's a solid unit with good stats and has a nice ability: Strikes Twice! I can never stress that enough. You can't go wrong with these guys. Also, you got to love that helmet with feathers on the top. It's so fancy.

I voted for Enrothian Master Swordsman .. because classic Swordsman can't really be without Kite Shield and fully cladded in armour, and wears medieval visage-less helmet
Nival's basic swordsmen look very less-protected, nor having any "imperial" feel. give them a gothic helmet and voila!
(did i stick too much on Roman Imperial stuff?)
Vindicator is also cool. (horn is... i think.. dedicated to the true form of the "Evil"versions of Queen Isabel.... Biara in disguise
.... for swordsmen in Heroes4, Does King Lysander has a good mindset? leaving out shields from swordsmen and telling other units not to bear shields? (but everyone except monks wear chainmail at minimum level of protection, at least Palaedrans are better protected than Erathians hehe:p )

And so is the Swordsman from the first 2 games... that's why we use the level instead of the look.Melanchior wrote:oh come on! the paladin/crusader from the first two HoMM games is the same thing as the crusader in H3 and H4ThunderTitan wrote:Nah, we count them as Paladins/Champions...
also, champions have nothing to do with them
