You probably mean 200 GB.

As far as I know, yes you will have to know how to do that. But then again, I've never had more than one operating system installed... nor did I ever have any other drives besides A,C and D...

You should really get someone that knows what their doing to do it for you. If you have only one partition then I belive you'd have to erase the whole drive. That's why I always had at least 2 prtitions, even when I had only a 3GB HDD.

Of course this is all pointless talk right now as H5 isn't planned for Linux.

You just start in MS-Dos mode and write: "Format c:\"

Of course the bloody Win XP doesn't have Restart in MS-Dos anymore and in order to format you need an XP Install CD. Just enter the BIOS and set it to boot from CD. If it's a XP install it pretty much guides you every step of the way. Don't know about the Linux as I've never installed one.

I do have the Windows XP disks which came with my computer, but I'm not wanting to re-format my "C" - Hard Drive. Since Heroes V isn't available for Linux anyhow at this time, there wouldn't be any need for me to erase my whole computer. I'll wait and see if UbiSoft releases a later version without StarForce and/or if they are going to have a Macintosh edition of Heroes V … not that I'm gonna buy a Macintosh just to play Heroes V. Besides, I'd first like to read everyone's reviews & feelings about the game.

There are some programs out there that claims that they can format your hard drive for you without you loosing data, but as far as I know, they're fairly unreliable. If you plan on installing Linux, make sure you have a good backup on everything you wish to keep.

Reformatting is not required, you need to squeeze your existing partition and then create another one in the freed area. That's can be done without data loss, but no one can guarantee you that it will go always without errors, with risk of lost everything. If you have DVD burner you may, I guess, easily backup your most important data.

The linux is installed over any Windows, so you are well prepared right now.

You have nice computer, isn't noisy all together? (Semporon, of course, should be very quiet...)

What do you mean? You can`t install linux onto windows sytem. It requires different file type, fe. winXP uses NTFS and most linuxes use EXT2 or EXT3.

Well anyway, if you want to have both windows and linux, then you need 2 partitions (each for each system) and also a linux swap partition. Then you can have two systems on one computer and both will be working... that it untill you`ll need to reinstall windows. It will then overwrite your booting programe (sth that makes it able for you to select your system when the computer loads) and you will no longer be able to use linux - that`s the policy of a well known corporation which name I won`t put here

You can however prevent it by making a backup of booting programe and then restore it, and it`ll be all fine.
