Get a Free Dark Messiah CD-Key

A Portuguese gaming mag is distributing cd-keys for the 2006 fantasy multiplayer action/RPG hybrid, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. The key will allow you to register the game on Steam and download it from there. Just <a href="/http://www.bgamer.pt/cdkey.ud121?oid=5956775">follow this link</a> (thanks <a href="/http://savygamer.co.uk/2009/01/this-may ... vyGamer</a> and follow the instructions. The site is in Portuguese but you will figure it out (with the help of a <a href="http://www.nicetranslator.com">nice translator</a> if needed). Please be aware that the site is unstable, so you will need to be patient. I got several blank pages and server errors before I managed to get my key. The site is well-known in Portugal, so I guess this offer is legit.

I have yet to find out if my key actually works (no Steam from the workplace), but I think it does work.

I got Steam installed and running (CSS) but the site keeps saying it having "maintanance" so no key for me yet...

It seem to no longer work anymore:

Translation machine:

The BGamer nº127 has as of Might offers the one game Dark Messiah & Magic. Had the traffic problems, in case that & needs Compact disc to play Dark Messiah of Might; Magic in multiplayer will have to send an email for bgamer@goody.pt. They are not forgotten to indicate the username with that they are registados in our site.

So my guess is that there was a bug, and you need to register to their site now. I'll go and see...

EDIT: From what I can read, they pulled the action. It turned out that people were getting greedy, and hit the refresh button, and thus get new codes all the time (I don't know why). Maybe there is some other way. Or maybe Angel is kind enough to give me his code (A)...

Hey, how does Steam work?! Do you need to have a steam game already to d/l stuff?! I'm just asking coz DoW2 beta is on steam for free since the 28th...

No, you can download the Steam client for free and from there download games/demos/videos and other stuff.

Steam would be nice if only the games were not overpriced. I mean, paying the same price for a simple download rather than the whole game in a nice box with various bonuses like manual, "making of", artwork books, coins and other junk ain't really fair. Just a month ago or so they were selling Bioshock for 50 bucks.

They sometimes have special sales during the week-end, like 50% off on older, episodic or independant games.
